For those of you who are contemplating doing a spot of modelling and thought it was too hard, here is the help that LinkyNStoof gave me.

I have copied all of the PMs to Wordpad and saved it in Rich Text format so it should open up in any word processor program.

It focuses on Milkshape, which you can download from www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/

I hope it helps you as much as it did me.

Actually, in addition to Milkshape lessons, probably one of the best resources a beginner should start off with are pre-made models from the Internet. Here are some links I've tried:

www.3dcafe.com/asp/freestuff.asp
www.digitaldreamdesigns.com/3DModels.htm
www.digitalanimators.com/HTM/Resources/ ... lsMain.htm
www.iitvr.com/meshes.html
www.psionic3d.co.uk/tutorials.html
http://the3dstudio.com/models.aspx
www.joshonen.ch.vu/
http://ktn3d.com/index.htm

I especially recommend browsing through the 3dcafe.com one, that one has a pretty nice and diverse collections of models, many of which I've already picked out and presented in the forums here (and some more by Popo).

Anyone else here, feel free to add to the list of links above. Everyone here can always use some more sites with free models!
