Button Colors

There's always been this weird button color thing going on. I was wondering if we could all maybe refer to the buttons the easy way. Instead of "cyan" being a way fancy word if ya ask me can we use "light blue"? Instead of "purple" can we use "pink" cuz that button looks pink to me
Then there's the whole "Transporter" which is what the editor calls those things you can travel across water and lava on. I see some folks calling it that but more folks call it a "Travelator". Then there's what the editor calls "Teleporters" which is cool cuz most people call it that or shorten it to "TP"
Then there's the colors of the TP's <sigh> Sometimes I see them as in the picture below and other times they seem to be transparent but always the same colors.
As a person who needs loads of help when doing levels I have a hard time understanding directions when I can't figure out what color of what someone is talking about. Do the pictures below seem reasonable? Is there a way to get folks to use the same color etc. when it comes to describing things in a level? Or does anyone have an idea that'll work? Maybe I should just change
my ways hehehe
I'm just tryin' to make stuff easier and not so complicated. Then again after looking up at all that I've typed it seems
more complicated ROFL!!! Sorry gang, this is just a suggestion and ya all can completely ignore me if you want to

Well I understand your want to call those buttons pink and not purple. This is purple:
That button is pink!

I never have any trouble understanding the colours and the names. Though for dark blue, (because of WA)
I'd call it Indigo, and I'd call the Grey
teleporters BLACK.
I still liked reading through your post though.

Like Darshan I call grey black (well, only in WL of course

)
And I call pink pink, but correctly it should be
magenta
And what about all the boxes?
Is it steel box, or metal box? (Is it a box at all, or a cube?

)
Is it plasma box or ice cube?
Is it barrel, cask or keg?
Boy, what a complicated game

How many versions of colours are there?

For me:
Steel Box
Plasma Box
Hmm...

now that you mention
all those choices, I'd say Barrel/Keg
Boy, what a complicated game

Wonderland's a land of wonder...

I have these same problems you're all talking about, when I'm trying to write a walkthrough! That Steel crate/box/cube thing is always a tough one. I sit there for 5 minutes, trying to think of what I should call it.

You're right, it should be magenta. It looks more pink than purple anyway though.
I call those teleporters black too - the white and black came together, so it makes sense that both white and black (opposites) should be included, right?

Yup, I was always in a pickle with the colors and I just finally gave up. Lt. Blue is cyan and pink is purple, etc... Have you bought a box of crayons lately? Now when I play a level and someone posts a spoiler where I'm stuck I have to decipher some of it, almost like trying to go right when they really mean left.

I agree with you, Robyn! The colors are sometimes really getting out of hand. Me myself hmm... I'd call the grey teleporter BLACK, and I also sometimes have used cyan and light blue depending on my own mood, but never aqua, and steel box/ice cube/barrel or keg.
The "dark" in "dark blue" feels redundant when near light blue though. Shouldn't it simply be "blue"? Blue and light blue?

Lets see, in my own little head (scary place) I have Blue, Lt. Blue and Pink for the buttons in question hehehe
Black, Gray or White for the TP's when they are all in one level.
Barrels = Kegs or whatever you call those things that blow up when ya push em into a wall
Cubies = Those ice looking plasma things
Goobies = Those pink things that stick together
Steel box = Metal box, gray box whatever
Box = Wood box
Tramp = Trampoline
Ice = Ice
zbot = the ones going in a specific direction
Crazed zbot = the ones that just flounce around with no direction
TP = The things you step through and end up somewhere else
Transporter = Those things you ride on
Coileys = coileys
Hmm my head is a very strange place!

Yeah, not to mention the cannons.
Many people call them cannons, others call them "Scourge". lol.
What do you guys call those typically?

Green or pink Cannons. I've seen Scourge used and know what it means but I don't use that one myself.
