I've been forced to borrow my daughters puter, which runs VISTA Last night I tried updating the kids levels for her .. no problems downloading the levels themselves.. it's the zipped texture files I'm having problems with

I've always clicked "save" file to, the download to the appropriate folder, once the download is done I open the folder find the zipped file, extract it ... bingo I'm done

Apparently VISTA doesn't operate that way .. once I download the file .. (To the textures folder) then ask it to open folder so I can extract the files.. I can't find the file I just downloaded So.. I thought I've made a mistake go to download it again & it tells me "The file already exsists" Still can't find the file???

PLEASE help me, so far only "lost" the bluebells texture .. I'd like to get the Kids Levels up todate for my daughter, but it's not very fun to play them with that boring old wood texture now is it.

And BTW .. I HATE VISTA

I have no experience with Vista because I use XP. But I remember I once used a ZIP-file when I didn't have a program for it such as Winzip or Winrar. Then Windows XP recognized the file as a compressed folder instaed of a file. So maybe your file appears as a (compressed) folder. I guess you have no files in the textures-folder but lots of sub-folders. Maybe that's the reason you don't see it. In your situation I should download the ZIP-file to an empty folder.

Maybe this it useless information but just in case...

Thanks for the advice Marinus.. that's not the probelm. Actually i figured it out. it's kinda involved.. but it works

When you Open a file,the file will go to this folder:
(Your Windows Install Drive,like C: ) /Documents and Settings/(Your User Name)/Local Settings/Temp .
(This is XP.It may change in Vista.)
So if you wanna dl texture,there are 2 ways:
1.Use Download Helper
2.(IF your puter have a downgrade disk)Go back to XP
