Hi everybody,

Here's my latest creation...

Loof is "Trapped on the Moon" and wishes to return home! Can you help him?

You know the drill... make sure you download all the files for maximum atmosphere!

Many thanks to Mark & Bob for testing, and to Popo for fixing my rocket model!

Enjoy!

LeMarquis

P.S. This one has no glitch! pure logic!!!

I had a chance to preview this and can only marvel at the amazing visuals that accompany this level.

There are a number of paths you can take but only one will work and that UFO is ever present, well almost ever present, I got rid of him after awhile. :D

I had to play this a few times because I found I had used the wrong item for exiting, it worked but I wanted to try the intended way.

Great stuff and a hell of a puzzle as always, thanks!

Wow Bob! First, I'm impressed that you solved it! And second, I can't believe you found a different way to solve it! I really tried to block any other way! I just tested your solution involving the chomper and it works! I got to the exit but I couldn't get the bonus coin... did u manage to get it?
Actually I don't think it's possible!

Thanks for testing!

No, I didn't get the bonus coin but I was happy enough to make the exit in one piece!

I tried it the intended way twice, the first time rover was still there but the second attempt got rid of the dog and yielded access to the final bonus coin...so I got my gold star. :D

Kool.. so I don't need to revise eheh...

I was actually getting the coin while leaving the dog alive! so your way is probably better!

Le Marquis, I greatly appreciate the preview! 8)
It was incredibly beautiful and atmospheric to behold! I actually caught myself wondering if I was in Wonderland.
As Bob stated, there are many different ways, but only one way off the moon.
Hopefully I will get that rocket working, so I can fly home soon. :D
Thank you, my friend!

Last week, I went back and created all video solutions to educate the RTW population so that I can raise the level of difficulty while still keeping the puzzles compact! Hopefully it will work coz as I stand today.. I really make levels for You, Mark, Amnon,... and few others RTW fanatic players...

And with full respect, you did solved all my levels! even this one which I thought was pretty difficult which is why I was impressed! I guess I'll have to pull the hardcore weapons for my next level!!! ;) eheh..

I'll keep you post!

I guess that won't increase the number of players...

Can't wait to see what you mean by hard core, Cuz this level is right up there with some of the hardest I have played.
I do think that your levels are challenging enough that you don't really need to hide stuff.
With everything in the open the level would still be insanely difficult.
Great texture!
No I haven't solved this level (Bloody flame) so I guess I need educating

Kiki is right! I used to hide too many elements... Now I'm trying to keep it to a minimum but enforce the logic side of the puzzle and keep the puzzle compact in size with the least possible amount of random elements or use random elements in a smart way (like coilys... could have use it better in stinky bedroom)... Mark made me realize that during one of our discussions. Don't get me wrong, I still love glitches as well so I might combine... but most of the puzzle will still be pure logic.

As Lutz commented, I might lose some players by increasing the level of difficulty but I got into making levels because I wanted to give a good challenge to the hardcore RTW players just coz I thought I could do it...

I'm still learning about the game and I'm trying to push the software to its limits using heavy custom models and custom textures to hide unwanted textures (like in: Trapped on the moon...), to enhance the atmosphere through models using milkshape, (I also use autodesk to convert them sometimes), or photoshop to create custom textures used by the game or the models. I basically try to create a compact level where objects chosen and textures fit a concept all the way through.

I wish more level makers would follow my lead.. so that i have games i like to play and also to inspire me with new ideas to improve my upcoming levels.

If I had a request for Midnight synergy, it would be to give us the option to change the sound effects and most of all, the songs!!! more choices or let us import our own mp3 into the game! RTW is a very good software and I think it's way better that WA especially the editor... lol

I don't think I've ever solved one of yours on my own. One I think with Mark's help.

I absolutely love the look of all of your stuff. Brilliant work to say the least.

I've tried many different combos with this particular level and I can get some done one way and some done another way but can't seem to combine things to get it all done.

Really amazing stuff going on here. I agree that sound effects and/or a different sound track or the ability to put your own music in would be awesome! I play without the music cuz I find it a bit annoying. But I do play with the sound effects on. I love hearing stuff blow up

I enjoy looking at your levels also, they just amaze me. I do try them all but most the time I cannot finish them, even with your videos I find them hard but I like seeing how you solve them.
And I'm with Robyn, the music is distracting to me but I love the sound effects except for a lot of things going over timers.
Your level looks fantastic, so real.

I agree, it helps the overall look, but remember it's not a video game.

My feeling is that the puzzle should stand on it's own whether you use the 'wood' texture  or create an entire world of fantastic visuals.

:D

It took many long hours, but finally Loof is back on earth with a gold coin.

I must admit I needed to have a peek at the level-editor.

As for the dog, I got rid of him by jumping around while the timer is going, so he was trapped by the closing gate (how how).

Amazing texture and models, thank you!

Hi everybody,

Here's the video solution for "Trapped on the Moon..."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tRhVyy8jYhg

Please note that the best way to understand what I'm doing is to try my moves and use the shift key to see how I position the blue dude and the dog in the right spot while I'm still on the moon before I land back on earth!

Enjoy!

Essentialy the same or similar moves, but a few variations:

1. The UFO is killed using the blue gate, not the box: this allows for peaceful manipulation of the green sphere BEFORE the wooden box is pushed onto the ice. It also allows a peaceful #2:

2. The dog is killed by running around and jumping twice over the trampoline under the crater while the timer is still running.

3. The wooden box is pushed onto the stationary down-arrow, then the green sphere is "invited in", allowing an escape through the ice. The box is later pushed down and right from the other side. (and a further little dance makes the daemon push the other sphere left onto its button)

Absolutely Amazing Solution, LeMarquis! 8)
I would never have dreamed all of those moves were possible!
Thank you for sharing the solution.

:D :D :D Amazing choreography of moves, even with some help from Bob no way was I getting the order down.
I didn't even consider the sphere beyond the button that I had it on.
The models were absolutely fabulous. :D :D :D

Simply brilliant Lemarquis. I could have never done this without your video solution. I did have the beginning on my own though. I felt like I actually could have been on the moon. Your models and the visuals were simply awesome. Thanks so much for the video.

Thx so much for all the comments...

I'm actually glad I started to create video solutions for the levels... It actually took me a while to remember how to solve my own levels! Lol Now I won't forget it anymore coz it's on video. :)

More to come... Looking into new concepts how to trick the software to do what I want...

I'll be back when I'm ready..

Keep creating!!!
