The Wonderland Board

I have been ticking along quite nicely with this game (Thank you Midnight Synergy) but I am now stuck at the beginning of the Sundog Island adventure. There doesn't appear to be another posting here giving help, so can any of you genius's out there tell me how to get past the second ice flower? Every time I try to place ice down, I end up drowning or benig frozen... Brrrr!

You have to cast a grow on the ice. (It will turn into an icicle) Then stand behind it. The Ice flower will shoot at you and the icespit will reflect back to the flower and freeze it. Then you can cast brr on the water to cross over.
