What about creating a hub?

I was hearing some things and reading some things, and came across someone mentioning how to create hubs, but did not go into specifics. How does one operate this "hub" system? (I understand fully to what it is refering).
Thanks, 2yu (AKA: Rykuta)

Semi-bump, due to the fact that I edited my previous post.

In case you're still not sure, Rykuta, the Hub is the "adventure" when you're not in usual adventures.
In simpler terms, when you are not playing adventures (in WA or MoFI), you're in the Hub.

Reffering to 2yu556's question, how do you get the hubs anyhow? Of is it even out? Because I seen someone that made a hub adventure.

To put it short, they're possible, but not recommended in the Editor at all, because the Editor isn't properly configured to run them.
However, they're perfectly functional in the MoFI Demo, of course...

Nvm just figured out that MoFI, was Mysteries of Fire Island. Do you mean to say that MoFI has an editor?

No, but cbloopy's released an Adventure Star Editor file that can be used in the WA Editor to make a hub, along with adventures, which can then be moved into MoFI.
I think I'll make a video tutorial series for this, because it seems to have a few people stumped.

When, a while ago (no idea WHEN, exactly), and where would be on
this page in this topic.
I still plan on a tutorial video series.

For anyone wondering, I'm trying to get rid of the kinks in the FPS while recording, so it's taking a while.
Once I figure it out I'll get it done, sorry about that.

I haven't gotten around to it yet because I've been sick for the last few days, so I'm going to work on it now.

Let's just hope that it will be finished before the 25th.
Anyway, we're all busy people, right?

The video's done, I just haven't gotten the subtitles in for the video yet, which is what I'm going to do... One of these days...

There's no sound, and it should be watched in HQ.
There were some subtitles about it in the original video, but they dissapeared for some reason...

Thanks for the efforts making the video, although there're definitely some room for improvement:
- I think the video should've edited out some of the level editing. They don't really say anything about the hub. It would suffice to show the first few steps on the level's creation and then just cut to the finished level.
- You don't have to compile the adventures. You can find all the adventures you're editing inside the c:\wa editor v096\user data\adventures\editing\current folder.
- That mistake with copying files due to having an extra "Adventures" folder at the top-level folder (instead of the one under the "Data" folder) will no doubt confuse a lot of people. The video should've cut out all that and just cut to the point where you finally figure out the correct folder to copy files to. (I'd also suggest to move that erroneous "Adventures" folder elsewhere so you don't get confused again.)
When you get around to adding annotations, here are some things that need to be highlighted:
1) localsaveon!
2) copying the "User Data\Custom Content" folder into MOFI's "GameData" folder (for custom textures etc)
3) The Data0 modifier of the Adventure Star points to the "AdventureX" folder in MOFI, where X is the value you set Data0 to.
4) Make sure to annotate how the hub options in master.dat affect what happens when the player wins or loses the adventure. (Although I guess the program itself is pretty clear on what the options do.)

Thanks for making the video.
Though, personally I would prefer having a tutorial (pictures & text), such that it would be clearer to the reader what it is about, and also allows him/her to quickly visit the main points he need to see, espescially if it is near the end.

When I get the time I do plan on seeing what I can do to fix these problems... Operator Error sucks.

Oh, crap, localsaveon... I completely forgot that. As for 2), I didn't put that in because this is meant to be a basic tutorial. Everything else was mentioned in the subtitles I had put. Stupid computer...
@AJ; That's a good point... When I get the time to remake this video, I'll put in a text/image tutorial as well.
