.WOP Request

I need a .WOP of a shard in colors White, Black, Stone, Mushroom & Rainbow, can anyone give me it?

For White and Rainbow, set the TextureName to Data\Models\Teleport\ufmfqpsu7.wdf (white) or Data\Models\Teleport\ufmfqpsu8.wdf (Rainbow), or copy them into the Custom folder and get the game to look there.

As for the others, all you really need is the texture file instead of a .wop - because those textures aren't rendered for the Shard by default.

I'm working on it right now, just so you know. :wink:

EDIT: By Stone you mean Colour 9, right?

It should be noted that while you can get the white and rainbow if you set Color to 7 and 8 (through hex-editing), if you intend to use shard teleporting then those colors won't do any teleporting. All other colors will MAV the game.

You can always set a custom texture on the shard over an existing color. This will then allow shard teleporting to work (it will still act like a shard using the standard color you just "replaced", as far as teleporting goes), but then you're still limited to 7 different teleporting shards (effectively you just merely replace one of the standard colors with a custom texture).

Another thing to note is that unless you change the icons for the shards in Data\Graphics\jdpot-tuboebse.wdf, in the item bag the shard will still be shown in the original color rather than the color you use in your custom texture.

Finally, it's not possible to independently control the "star sparkles" that come off of a shard, they too are tied to the color value just like the teleporting. So custom-texture a green shard to a stone texture, and while it'll look like the stone texture, the star sparkles that come off the shard is still green.

Bottom line is, there're no true shards of other colors besides the 7 rainbow colors, white, and rainbow, and the last two don't work for shards teleporting. You can sort of masquarade an existing color shard as a "new color" using custom textures but that's as close as you'll ever get, with all the limitations noted above.

Because the shards use the teleport textures, you can create custom ones based off of the textures in Data\Models\Teleport. The color portion of the texture you can base off of the button colors in Data\Graphics\cvuupot1.wdf.

Okay then, got the textures done.

I'm aware that the Black shard is more of a light grey, but it's the best I can get at with Photoshop.

If you want me to redo it, I can try to.

The .zip file has all five textures in it. Hope this is what you were looking for. :wink:

Actually, depending on how the waterfall model works...

I might be able to make a semi-transparent shard. not promising anything, because I don't know if I can or not.

That's just a duck with a barrel model. You can't really change it.
