The Nutters Website - Now Online

Hi All,

as many of you already know, Mette's wonderful Wonderland website is no longer being updated, and has been archived at Midnight Synergy.

It took a little longer (since a few changes were made) to bring things online, but it looks like everything is set now:

http://www.midnightsynergy.com/nutters

I didn't copy everything over, although I have a complete copy of Mette's original site on my harddrive - just in case. In particular, I did not copy over individual monthly levelpacks, but rather a collected set of levels and custom content only. If someone has to re-install their game, they can quickly access all of the custom content (until April 20th 2009) in one download each.

Have a peek around and let me know if you spot mistakes. Eventually I might take the information and integrate it into the main Midnight Synergy website (e.g. offer the "official" solution and the player-made solutions side-by-side), but that is still a ways off (and might not happen).

Many thanks again to Mette for all her terrific work on this over the years.

Well, I tested out it. but theres a problem... Then I try to look for
WA: Mysteries of Fire Island, i got this:
Not Found

The requested URL /nutters/MOFI\MOFIstars.htm was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Also, then i try to see others on Wonderland Adventures - Level Solutions, i got it again..

EDIT: It's good. it's so good,

In these cases, the \ just needs to be replaced with a / in the link. Meanwhile, when you get the error, you can change it yourself in the address bar of your browser.

Thank Chrise! And so, please MS, fix it.

A Thanks, I'll fix that (hopefully tonight). My browser auto-corrects / and \, so that's a common mistake I make. :)

Patrick, thank you for making sure all Mette's work will not be lost!

BTW, You gave us the link here in this thread on the forum, but is this link also somewhere on the main-page of the MS-website?

Why not this month? :|

Haven't you had time to make it since February?
Or have you been glued to designing the next WA? :P

They work fine with me. I also never saw a \ instead of a /. I didn't look at everything but clicked only the links of WA and MOFI. They work fine

Mysterious, their still got the wrong slash for me.... :?

Did you refresh the page? Or close your browser and open the page again?

This is just a test, using the wrong slashes:
test

test

The only difference between the first and second one, is just one \ or /.

Apparantly with a \ doesn't even appear as an URL.

EDIT:

When I change a / in the adressbar into a \, it automaticly be changed back into a /.

Thanks for doing this. 8)

But perhaps we should have a vote on whether to actually call it "Wonderland Nutters Website"?   Mette simply called her site "Mette's Wonderland Homepage"; nowhere did the word "nutters" actually appear on the site other than in its URL. Not that I have much objection to "nutters", but I wouldn't mind some alternatives either.

A sidenote: If anyone has seen and is wondering why my site is suddently completely down, it's due to server migration. Hopefully everything will be back within 24 hours.

I'm closing it down for real within the next couple of weeks though, so if anyone wants a last chance to download the custom stuff in smaller portions, do it soon.

@Patrick: Thanks for hosting it all. I'm happy to see everything in continued existence :D

Best,
Mette

There'll be an official announcement with the next MP. The sale will be on for at least another one to two months.

Good to know, I'm thinking about buying the CD of games for my grandson. :)

Regarding the "nutters" name - I'm fine with other names as well, I think it originated from the original membership group here (back in 2003/2004) who called themselves "nutters" for Wonderland. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Also a quick update, Kym's (aka Shorty's) memorial levels from mette's site have also now been added to the MS memorial site:

Ah I see. In that case, I'm okay with keeping it nutters. 8) Perhaps you could add a little FAQ section or something to include this bit of historic information.

I'm not sure where the name came from. I think we talked about all of us being a bunch of nutters, nutters.dk was available and the rest is history ;) I have no special feelings for the name. So change it or keep it - I don't mind either way :)

Best,
Mette

I think "The Wonderland Nutters Website" will be the most appropriate name, since it reminds us the link in your signature. Now Patrick has taken over the site, it's no longer "Mette's site" but I think it's good that the name will remind us that it was.
