Hi! Another one of these What's Your Favorite _________ topics.

Out of the backgrounds and textures that come with RTW, what are your favorites? You can also write your least favorite if you want.

Background
Sky/Forest/Walls/Stars/Flat/Water/Lava/Warp/City/Rainbow

Forest, Stars and City are my favorites. They all feel so open high up.

This may come as a surprise to most, but Warp is my least favorite. The contrast and "closedness" together give me a headache, and I've always had a trauma of it because of that darn BLOB that appears in RTW.

Rainbow is my second least favorite. Pain.

Texture
Cave/Sand/Wood/Purple/Castle/Jade/Spooky/Garden/Aztec/Blue/Lush

Lush is my absolute favorite. It can magically make any place feel darker and spookier, especially when used in 3D mode.

I also like Jade a lot, and Castle as well. Out of all textures, Jade has the best blending with water, and Castle has that urban-but-primitive outdoor feeling.

Wood is my least favorite. Too simple, and it's not even very pretty, but it's realistic, so I guess that makes up for it.

EDIT: Wow, I forgot completely about WA textures. You can do a review about them too if you want, I didn't say only RTW textures are accepted.

As a general RTW texture my least favorite is Sand.

It can be (and has been) used thematically to provide awesome ambience... but sand is the easiest RTW texture to screw up royally.

Yes, lush blends in with all 5 colour objects....

Also, are we aloud to pick custom textures (and backgrounds) as our favourite?

If you have the warp background and set the level to 3D mode, you will see a big black blob in front of you. See screenshot below.

EDIT: My favourite texture is purple. It's the best if you want a space theme and can't be bothered to use a custom one.
I don't like wood. It looks boring after a while.

My favourite backgrounds are stars, rainbow and city. They are the coolest ones.

Aren't Blue and Lush custom textures? I'll go with Lush anyway, since it's such a nice texture that works so well.

I'm not really sure about backgrounds, so I won't guess.

Blue and Lush are technically custom textures, but they come with RTWP and they were made by MS so you could in some way call them official.

billy bob, that's the "Warp" background in the 3D mode. I like it.

The blob is actually a lack of blobs. Use Alt-X in Normal View, and see that there are two blue blobs that make you sick, and the black is just to make you not sick by not existing, yet fails miserably.

Confusing, isn't it?

Actually, if you Alt-X your way to the black and you will see that there is actually one blob that closes around you. So you get sick any way.
