New Level - Days of Yore *

This one is for my good friend, Marinus. For all the countless months he tested and wrote how-to guides on these mental gymnastics. And this one is no exception. I originally wasn't going to release this, and that's why it's not numbered. Inspiration came by way of a contest level I did in days of yore.
Play at your own risk!

BTW, where did the inspiration for the level name come from? Sounds like some old town in Great Britain.

Sorry, my iPhone displayed corrupted text, and I could not read that part.
But I am now on a PC, and it is readable now.
Thanks though.

I took a look at this last night but I didn't have the time then to work on it, I had a feeling it was going to take me a few minutes.
There was a move here (if I did it right) that reminded me a little of Chip's last level.
I had fun putting everything in the right place but then at the end I thought Loof was not going to be able to exit...silly me.
Thanks Mark,

Mark, I always enjoyed playing, testing, and writing walkthroughs for (well, perhaps except when you were changing the colours

) your levels. Thank you very much, my friend.

Hi Blink,
I honestly don't know. Most of my titles just come to me.
I must have read or heard it somewhere and it stuck in my mind.

I have the same problem as Liz. Please help. If I do get them in then I can't get them out.
Thanks

There is a way of cover the white and yellow buttons and still use the center trampoline. Here's a clue on what to do:
A well positioned boulder with a jump and slide.

In spite of some help from Marinus, this one is still a mystery to me Mark.
Even if I manage to get both characters through to the TP part, I can foresee more problems to do with actually covering the green button so they can exit.
Hoping for a walkthrough at some point

Here's the complete walkthrough, courtesy of Marinus.
1. Stinky on white, Loof from yellow jumps LLLDU and pushes green sphere U in white gate. Stinky steps off/on white button. Loof steps U, pushes boulder D over tramp, and follows.
2. Both characters push cannons L and R over tramp without delay. After boxes are shot, push right cannon R and U over tramp. Left cannon R over tramp. Boulder URDR (stopped by wall, both cannons, and rightmost boulder).
3. Stinky on yellow, Loof from white jumps RRRDL. (boulder on white) Stinky jumps LLLLU and goes through black TP. Loof from yellow jumps LLLDR, immediately walks U inside boulder on yellow, jumps LLLLU, and goes also through black TP to green button.
4. Stinky goes back and enters the green TP at the same time the generator sounds, (keeping the down arrow pressed on the keyboard) gets the last coin, and stands below the left-side exit.
5. Loof goes twice through black TP, (blocking upper side of right black TP) Stinky exits (jumping through TP activating green button) and Loof can exit too.

Well thanks to the walk through I finally made it out. I would of never figured out the cannon move. That was my only problem until the exit. I needed help with that also. Still don't understand how the last move worked but the gate stayed open so the other little fellow could leave. Surely a cool level. Thanks

When the first character has jumped through the exit, he's invisible, but he still can activate a button.

Totally excellent!
Mark - thanks for yet another genius-level level
I knew that boulder had a use, but I just didn't have the cannons lined up like that.
Marinus - you're a genius-level level solver

Thanks for the walkthrough.
