What happened to the snow (in the levels)? HELP !

Hi all,

Something weird has happened to me once again :?

One day when I opened RTW, my PC spontaneously decided to reboot. When the PC had done it's thing everything seemed normal.

Since then I have noticed something weird in RTW: There is no rain or snow, the fire from the cannons look wrong somehow and when I blow up a Kaboom with a box there's no splinters from the box and the explosion sounds kind of weak.

Does anyone have an explanation for this? And better yet, a solution? And does the unexpected reboot has anything to do with it?

I hope someone can help me, since it does take some of the joy out of the game

Do a virus scan asap, and check for spyware and adware too if you can. It does look like it has something to do with the reboot.

Has it only affected RTW or is any other program acting strange?

You could try doing a disk check too.

It could just be that the reboot upset something in RTW and reinstalling it might help.

Do hope you get it fixed.

Well my computer is as protected as it can be. The antivirusprogram is allways updated and running, we do a desk check every week, and the firewall takes care of the rest.

No other programs are acting strange (to my knowledge), so I will try reinstalling RTW.

I'll let you know if it helps - thanks :)

I have now tried uinstalling RTW and then installing it again. It didn't help  :?

There is no virus on my PC and no spyware or add-ware either.

Does anyone else have an idea?

Perhaps you could send a "pm" to Midnight Synergy, they are really helpful when it comes to problems with the game. I don't know what version of the game you have, but there have been several updates/fixes made available - this could help maybe

I had trouble with crashes and they sorted it out for me

:D :D Perhaps Stinky has been middlefarting too much!!!!! :D :D

I'm wondering if some of the data files have been destroyed or corrupted when your PC shut down, but reinstalling should have sorted that out.

Did you completely remove the game from your PC before you reinstalled it? Cos sometimes bits can get left over and interfere with the new installation.

Patrick came through in the end. :D It was the detail level in the game that had gotten all screwed up
Everything is back to normal now :D :D :D
