I think that this topic is a bit funny well... you can tell their sex is by their:
name
hat (if it's boy or girl's hat)
accessory
behavior

To be honest, I actually think all the hats are gender-neutral, with the possible exception of that one hat for MOFI playable characters.

You mean all female Stinkers are born adults?

In my opinion, from their voices and their names you can understand if a stinker is a boy or girl.

I know that stinkers don't have genders, but in my mind, I have the feeling that Loof and Qookie are girls and Stinky and Peegue are guys. :D . Does anyone else think this?

At first, I thought of the four main stinkers male. But when I found people saying Qookie is a female, My mind changed into thinking Qookie is the only female in the gang.

I agree with you, that's how I understand that.

In my opinion Wysp is also a girl, but it is really hard to say what's Wysp's gender. In all my material I refer to Wysp using 'she', because that sounds more natural for me than saying 'he'.

It is hard to say what's someone's gender only by their name, because names, as all words, are language-dependent. For example in Polish all female names end with -a, so eg. Zoopy Lala will definitely be a girl for Polish-speaking people. On the contrary, in French there are almost none names ending with -a, so French-speaking people will will have some trouble with Zoopy Lala's gender. English names are quite confusing, as there are no certain gender-indentifying endings: we have Sally and Benny, Melanie and Bernie, Seth and Cath, so as for stinker names, which (to make us more trouble) are invented from scratch by Patrick. What I can say is that -i ending makes me think of Italian male names, so I think all stinkers having -i ending names are males.

IMO the genders are as the following:

Male:
Stinky
Pegue
Morklin
Ace
Mayor Scarredy
Booleen, Loleen, Teehash and all the Wee Stinkers
Racerooni
Grennfleagel
OobibanDeNooby
OondiOoni
Captain VoosciDiGoomi
Dizzy
Captain Bobo
Hootoo
Retroo
Whimsey
Persniffoni (althrough Persephone sounds similar)
Loopy

Female:
Loof
Qookie
Pootsy
Zoopy Lala
Pookie
Patooters
Jaana
Darlee

Troublemakers:
Cedric-in-the-Morning (this makes me the most trouble, hard to decide, because Cedric is an old medieval male name, but that pinkish hat...)
Guggenheimer (sounds nordic, in Viking's language it can be both male and female name)
Jedlic
Gaboonga
Wysp
Noosee
Findel (BTW nice name for a city or a town)

He's a Blink wizard. Of course he has a "pinkish" hat.

For me:
Male:
Stinky
Pegue
Morklin
Ace
Mayor Scarredy
Booleen, Loleen, Teehash and all the Wee Stinkers
Racerooni
Grennfleagel
OobibanDeNooby
OondiOoni
Captain VoosciDiGoomi
Dizzy
Captain Bobo
Hootoo
Retroo
Whimsey
Persniffoni
Loopy
Cedric-in-the-Morning
Guggenheimer
Jedlic
Gaboonga
Wysp
Noosee
Findel
Cedric-in-the-Morning
Guggenheimer
Jedlic

Female:
Jaana
Darlee

And by male and female, I mean whether I would use "he" or "she". I hold very firmly to stinkers having no gender.

Edit: Pootsy might be female.

Lets just have Wysp's gender as "Undefined".

In my opinion we should accept every form, whether it's 'she' or 'he', as Wonderland characters don't seem to have genders. However, there are situations when it is necessary to decide who is a 'she' and who is a 'he'. In such cases we should leave that up to the dialogue's author - eg. I'll always be refering to Wysp as to a 'she', because my stories need it, some artistic parts of my dialogues may need a male/female character and I simply feel Wysp should be a female character. However, I won't blame anyone if they reffer to Wysp as to a 'he' in their adventures, because I fully understand how hard is it to decide on genders in Wonderland. The matter is clearly personal, so leave the interpretation to the adventuremakers and let them make their stories nice.

Wowchers. I barely remember any of these stinkers.
Oh, you mentioned Gaboonga twice. Seems quite fitting since Gaboonga forgets things. I guess you - FORGOT that you'd mentioned him! xD

Not only Gaboonga - the whole end of the male list is doubled.
