Spongebob Squarepants Krabby Quest game

Anyone knows about this?

It's a Wonderland-like game by MS themselves (in the style of classic trilogy) but with Spongebob and Patrick replacing Stinky and Loof. It's much easier and there are less levels (60) so when I beat the whole thing in two days (all gold) I was kinda disappointed, though there's still the question of high scores. If you're VERY good you can actually try to beat the whole game in the one hour the trial version on Big Fish Games gives you. I did get the full version, but I didn't expect it to be this easy.

It's not on MS's official site anymore -- the index page for it doesn't even exist! -- but the online solutions are still there... though I hope you won't need them.

You can find the game here: http://www.bigfishgames.com/download-ga ... index.html

So, is there anyone who has played it? I put this in General Wonderland discussion because it's essentially a Wonderland game, only a bit different. Most important difference is that there's no exit, once you collect all coins, err, I mean patties, the level ends. So collect the bonus coins, err, I mean bubbles, before that! Other differences you can find out for yourself once you're in. I like some of them, but it was really too simple... a few puzzles will remind you of previous Wonderland levels.

Hardest puzzles: "Visit the Island", "Jellyfish Tango"
Hardest action: "Defender", "Walk the Fish", "Crossfire Tag Team"
Most annoying: "Split"

Yes i know it ...
But about me :
Hardest puzzles : "The ice maze" "Crossing the river" "The lone home"
Hardest action : "Crossfire Tag Team" "The looooooong walk home"
Most annoying : "Jellyfish tango" Split"
And this not wonderland game so better put it on Off-topic !
This game like wonderland .

"The lone home" can be solved faster and easier (and without using Spongebob at all until the end) by going to the RIGHT with Patrick and then you push boxes properly, you get five boxes. Two for bonus bubbles, two for the top bridge, one for the red button. No need for the beach balls! Though I do mostly agree with your choices, those made me pause and think for some time.

"The looooooong walk home" I never actually beat that level the intended way. I tried for a while, but it's quite hard. The *easy* way is to stay at the bottom at one side and wait until all the fish are destroyed. You'll need a bit of preparation to give yourself a safe place to wait.

"Jellyfish tango" is actually not that annoying, I think -- it's a completely deterministic level and there's very little chance of failure if you do it right. "Split", though is quite annoying, indeed. It's not random or anything but it feels dicey and chancey and luck-based.

I bought this a few years ago and got all gold on it as well. :D
It's been awhile since I've actually played it though.

If "Crossfire Tag Team" is what I think it is, then I've spent a VERY long time on that level.

It's the level where Patrick on the right side has MANY "cannons" (tentacles) to deal with and there are only three blue boxes.

It's odd to play a game where the puzzles are very simple most of the time, yet the action parts stayed pretty sharp, sometimes reminding me of the actual Wonderland games.

Have to say I was most disappointed by the final level, I expected a monstrously difficult finale like in the Wonderland games and then it was a level that basically plays itself.

Sorry for the bump, but can anyone try and see which files in the game's directory are the music files, and how to open them? I tried opening all the res files in OpenMPT and 2 of them opened, however they contained no playable music from what I could tell. Maybe this game's music isn't even in *.IT format at all.. :?

Ah, I see now. They actually aren't *.IT files at all, they're OGG files in disguise! :D Anyways, thank you very much.

Not too sure what res1 is, but I can tell you that res2 has just about every single texture and sound effect in the game! All you have to do is use Dragon Unpacker to rip them.

Does anybody know if it would be okay to post the textures and background from this game on here for everybody to use in RTW? I ripped them yesterday and they look really cool in Wonderland. 8)

The walls at the bottom are the fake walls.

According to MobyGames it says that the game is a "Licensed Title" (why wouldn't it be licensed anyways?) so I can only assume that it would be *okay* to post the textures for use in RTW and not anything else like fangames, etc. Just to be safe I'm going to let Patrick answer this for me since I don't want to get in any trouble.

Well, yes, but that's not what I meant. The textures you see will look the same in RTW. You can put in the models too if you can figure out how to rip them I guess. Again, I must wait for Patrick before I can post the textures. I am not going to post the models, even if I do figure out how to rip them. Since you guys want the bikini bottom texture so bad..

I think I'll use one of the textures for my next RTW level (if I'll have the permission). I really like the caves and jellyfish fields textures. :D
