Oddity in Secret Worlds

So I've been playing Secret Worlds over the past two days (trying to get 100%, easier said than done) when I noticed something in one of the levels after Wondertown that I can't say I've seen in any other Classic Trilogy games.
I believe the level was Through the Maze (can't remember for sure), but at one point I noticed something odd about a few of the floor tiles:
If you can't tell what it is, the tiles around the circled wall are all blurrier than normal (It's pretty hard to notice, I just caught it by complete accident).
I didn't think much of it at the time, until I noticed that the UFO acted as though those tiles were walls. They could still shoot through them, but wouldn't fly over them.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but UFO's can fly over both water and lava, right? The only other thing I can think of is a "pit"/empty space tile.

Yeah, I remember that as well. I'm pretty sure what it is is a custom model with the wall texture applied (One thing I noticed is that if you look closely, the edges of the conveyor!walls flicker a bit).
Main reason that the maze level part stuck out to me was that I couldn't think of any tiles UFOs could shoot over but not pass over at the time.

The levels that contain them are:
Through the Maze
The Dungeon
Free the Key
Toxic Mirage
If you look under these tiles, you will see the
real tiles.

I thought that was the case with all fake walls.

You don't even need to look "under" on Toxic Mirage, the water "flickers" and doesn't move, making things obvious.
Your comment inspired me to go back and finish those last few levels. Some time ago I did 100% but on a different system. So I replayed the game and got to Stinker Rescue and solved it but had some levels skipped. Currently I solved a bunch of them, leaving me with "The Ice Cave", "Trapped in the Vortex", "Transporting" and "Sequences".
The first two are just long and complicated, but I can understand them, it's just that I don't really want to bother with them right now. "Sequences" is easy but I keep messing it up for some reason. "Transporting" is the only one I forgot how to solve, hope it comes back eventually!

MS probably covered the "odd" tiles with models as to hide their true forms, thus explaining the bluriness.

I'm pretty sure they don't. It's been a while since I played any classic trilogy games besides WSW and TOW, so I might be wrong on that.

Yeah, that's the impression I got. WSW uses custom models (well, maybe not custom, but it definitely uses ones that aren't seen in any other classic trilogy game), so a tile-covering model doesn't seem like a huge stretch to me.

I haven't gotten to Toxic Mirage yet, I think. I'm on... Fire Island Bowl, I believe? Somewhere around there.
I remember The Ice Cave well, for sure. Took me way longer than it should've to figure out Peegue's section (and even longer to find the bonus coins).

OK, just got "Sequences" (easy enough, but the boomers gave me some trouble) and "Trapped in a Vortex" (you just have to take it one step at a time, so it's not really all that bad)
Which leaves "The Ice Cave" (probably will be the last level I re-solve) and "Transporting" -- which I still can't figure out?? What's wrong with me...

I've got 94 levels completed, all gold so far. 9 Gold stars, 5 Rainbow stars, in the Wasteland right now. Have four levels in the Wasteland to do, and two in Cloud City (I'd have those two done but I seem to be really bad at simple levels in this game).
Those dumb UFOs in Oasis are keeping me from completing it so far, I seem to be fantastic at getting myself shot in this game.

If you think you die alot in the Wastes, you're going to be in AGONY at the Void.

"Oasis" was all about hiding behind something in a safe alcove and waiting... I think you could blow up one of the two UFOs this way, making the level much easier... and yes, the rest of the level is all about decoys.

So, don't kill me for bumping a topic this old, but through the magic of Alt-X I went and checked - the mystery floor tiles in Through the Maze are indeed the pit/empty space tile. Quite clever, though obviously it's easy to tell what's going on using Alt-X.
