Periodically I will release a few demo levels from the "Quest for the Five Elements" adventure leading up to the full 194-level release. I will pick levels from multiple difficulties, and ones that will (hopefully) let you speculate what happens next in the story.

EDIT: Play this level with the timer turned off. Quest levels don't have set time limits just yet, and are currently intended to be played without them.

Here is the first released level!

Blockage at the Gate

Difficulty: Intermediate

World: "Snowy Mountains"

NOTE: This level is still in Alpha Stage! Final release will look different, but gameplay will not be changed unless necessary!

Have fun and let me know what you think!

Before even seriously trying, I can definitely tell you that the time pressure is far too high. This level requires a lot of exploration, so before you can even try to figure things out, you have about 2:30 minutes left. This is a level that really needs an extended time limit.

The visuals look really nice, almost like a level from WSW.

EDIT: OK, I finished it. Even with perfect knowledge of what's where (I looked in the editor) it still takes quite a while to finish. Extend the time limit, please. Otherwise, this is a really nice level, one of the few that use fake walls more or less properly.

Whoops. The time limits have not been set for any of the levels. :P I always play with the timer turned off, so the quest is intended to be that way. Final release will have time limits. :)

I'm glad you like the level! Thanks! :)

O.o (That should really be an emoticon)

194 levels!?!?!?

That completely destroys the 16ish I have for To the Palace...
This level is crazy hard with the time limit.

I did beat with it turned off, but it took a while.
NICE LEVEL! Seems a great start to your 194 levels to come.

Thank you and lol hoomdoom. :P

The reason for the high quantity of levels is because I'm trying to create a WSW-style adventure, if you know what I mean. Well, trying as in taking it to the next level. I'm actually over halfway done with it at this point.

Yes, PLEASE play the level with the timer off. :P Every level is set at 5 minutes (no times have been set yet), and the quest is intended to be played without the timer.

Glad you like the level! There are many more to come!

I think I should extend the plot to "To the Palace" like this.

Stinky finds Loof in the palace, but something is wrong!

The palace is being invaded by enemy chompers! (Makes 200 more levels about chompers)

Yes, you should.

I'm going to elaborate on the Quest for the Five Elements a bit (you asked for it :P ).

The plot is that Stinky, Loof, Qookie and Peegue are on an adventure to find the 5 lost elements that keep Wonderland safe: Elements of Earth, Air, Water, Fire, and Wonderland's Source Power. However, along the way, they solve literally dozens of mysteries, and come across a bunch of mini-adventures in conjunction with their main one. (One reason there are so many levels)

The main idea behind the large number of levels is the fact that this quest is actually two quests in one. On one hand, they are off to find the elements. But, it's not that straightforward. Rainbow spirits have returned (only a few-levels mini-adventure), the UFOs have taken over Wonderland (The UFOs actually play a major role in the entire quest), and many other things happen that I don't want to spoil at this time.

The quest doesn't actually get complicated until level 60 or so, when they begin up the Snowy (Foggy) Mountains. That's when things really start to get intense and exciting. The first 50 or so levels take place in Wonderland, and should hopefully remind you of WSW (worlds like the Plains, Gloomy Castle, etc.). Here, they are only on their way to the mountains.

The quest is also split into four parts, in other words, four lands. First land is Wonderland, obviously. The entire second land is dedicated to the Snowy Mountains (they are the turning point of the quest). The third and fourth lands are mysterious new lands completely seperate from Wonderland accessed by portals and the Temple of Elements. (Where they go in order to locate the elements)

Hopefully you can get a picture in your mind about what I'm aiming for here, and why there are so many levels. :) I like to take things to the extreme. I'm currently working on level 108. :P

Is level 100 going to be huge? :P

It's not really anything too special.

...Though it's the only one from the current world I haven't beaten yet. :P

Well, that and level 107.

Well, that does make sense, considering the 99x99 level that you will make on #194.

EDIT- Sorry, forgot to add [sarcasm] [/sarcasm]

Time limit should not be a problem with 2:13 minutes easily left.

Thanks!

When you know where everything is, it's not a problem... it's a problem when you're trying to see where everything is and figure stuff out.

O.o

YOU GOT IT IN 2:47!?!?!?

HOW!?!?!?
First: 3 Stinkers working around the red button.
Second:Each of the 3 in turn retires to the bottom-right maze.
Third:One Stinker returns to help Peegue so he doesn't have to run between his 2 buttons (that saves some time)
The rest is trivial.

Just to verify, I now completed it in 2:32 minutes.
