Could someone please give me a couple of pointers on how to beat the steam generator part of this level? Even with the game hints, it is not working and I get killed every time.

I'm unclear on exactly which part you're talking about when you said "steam generators". What steam generators? Do you mean the cannons? They're everywhere in that level so it doesn't help us figure out which part of the level you're having trouble with.

I remember there're basically 2 parts in that level. One part has like row after row of cannons which you must get past to get to the bottom and collect some rainbow coins. The other parts has like 6 columns of cannons where you have to push a wooden box along with you to protect you with just enough time to get to the top of the level to collect the remaining rainbow coins.

It also helps if you can point out the specific hints you were trying that you're having trouble with.

This is not an easy level to complete that is for sure


This is the way that I completed it.


Read as much of the Spoiler below as you wish :-





************ SPOILER *************



Move Stinky to the left just above the cannon.

As the cannon fire coming from the right passes move Stinky down
between the 3rd and 4th cannon on the left.

Pause and watch again for the cannon fire coming from the right.
As the cannon fire gets to within about 3/4 cms of Stinky move him
down again 3 more cannons.

Repeat the above process once more to reach the bottom sucsessfully.

Collect the 2 bonus coins.

Collect the 2 Rainbow coins and step on Pink button.

Quickly move stinky to just below the lowest right cannon but an
extra space in from the right this time so that you are in between
the cannon fire that will also now come down from the top.

Repeat the tricky timing process to get back upto the top - this
time of course keeping an eye on the cannon fire coming from the left.

Use the wooden boxes to give some protection to Stinky when
collecting the last Rainbow coins - and get on home.


Thats all there is to it

It takes a bit of practice of course but once you get the timing
right you'll be surprised how much easier this level becomes.
