Fallen Laptop

My laptop (all my wonderland stuff is on it) recently fell on the floor. It says there is no hard drive found, and will not work. I probably will need to get a new computer or hard drive or something. Two things will result from this.
1. I won't be on quite as much, for obvious reasons.
2. My fourth adventure isn't coming out anytime soon, again for obvious reasons.
I posted this in Meet and Greet because of reason #1. So, sort of bye and hopefully this isn't as bad as it sounds!

Well I hope you can get it fixed. Bye

Hope it isn't too serious. I feel pity and sympathy for you if this crash has caused you to lose all your progress on your 4th adventure.

It could have. The hard drive has the memory, and I don't know yet if the hard drive is damaged or just disconnected. I'm really hoping it's just disconnected, because then I can probably get all my stuff. If not, well...

R.I.P. to your laptop that has helped you well through the years.
My hunch is that you can do the following:
Your internal laptop drive is probably still okay, only
the motherboard is likely destroyed.
so, when you get a replacement PC or laptop you can still access
the data on the internal drive (from the damaged laptop)
By means of an External 2.5" IDE HDD Enclosure Case For Laptop,
you can tranfer any data from the old laptop drive to your new PC.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... osure+Case
Sample Amazon.Com item:
http://www.amazon.com/SANOXY-External-E ... B000FNBYKW
This essentially turns your laptop drive into an external hard drive,
or, if you're brave you can even put the 'old' laptop drive into the
body of a new 'laptop'.
It's just an idea.

Thanks for the suggestion!

I'm probably going to have my laptop get looked at sometime soon, so that I know what
exactly is broken, not working, disconnected, etc. If the hard drive is okay, and I get a new computer/laptop/whatever, I'll be sure to try that. That would mean I didn't lose progress on my entire fourth adventure! Yay!

So, recently, I took my computer to a store to get it repaired, and there actually wasn't a store where I had been informed there was! Right now, however, I actually am going to get it checked. (Calling the store helps tou to know if it exists) I'm hoping for the best.

The helping for helping helped! I was recently contacted with information that the hard drive was shot, but
my computer was actually otherwise completely fine! I can get a new hard drive relatively cheaply and have it work with my computer! So, expect me back soon. While I may have lost progress on my fourth adventure, that's fine, it was bug-filled anyway. My only concern is that I don't know if I have my receipts for Wonderland anymore!

I'll have to do some searching.

I finally have my computer back!!! It's really hard to believe it's only been a little more than a week. And yes, unfortunately I don't have any of my old data on it, but I have already re-downloaded the editor, and am looking for the various e-mails I used to get the games. I may get around to recreating my fourth adventure, once I am able to get everything (custom textures, wops, etc.) again. So, I'm going to spend an hour or so finding everything that I want (and possibly making a topic with all the wops that are used in adventures for easy download for new users and people who want a simple one click for it all). At that point, maybe I can catch up on playing adventures!

Congrats on getting your laptop back! Too bad your data was lost. I wish you best of luck in fetching those emails, no person should be without Wonderland.
