Wonderland/Midnight Synergy on Facebook?

Hey Patrick - sorry if this has been dealt with before but I couldn't find anything via search on the subject -
Do you have a Facebook page for Wonderland at all? If not would it be worth considering as a good advertising/promotion avenue? I'd imagine most of us would have an account & it would be a good sharing opportunity...

I have been thinking that as well, but just never got around to ask.
It would be a really good idea in my opinion. A Midnight Synergy Facebook Page would get you lots of free advertisement among all our friends.

I agree, It would be nice to have a facebook page for MS.

It is definitely a great idea, as social websites are the most efficient method of advertising known in modern marketing.

It's not something I've done - mainly because I don't use Facebook, Twitter, and all that jazz myself. [grumpy old man] I like my 300 Baud phone dial up, and I ain't changing! [/grumpy old man]
But it is a good idea - once the initial craziness with WA3 release is done, I'll look into it!

I'm not much for facebook and such either (other than Tumblr), but using them probably wouldn't be a bad idea.

For a introvert like me, Facebook is a neat way to talk to friend s who I would otherwise not talk to IRL (which is like, almost everybody).
Maybe I'm just weird.

You'd probably have to register yourself first before creating a page for Wonderland but you can set all your privacy settings (I think we all know you like to keep personal stuff out of the limelight) so people can't see any details at all (or just make them restricted to say family... which would include all us right?

) and if you're like me you don't even have to put up a real photo of yourself for a profile pic.
Definitely worth a look in once you're all done getting the game out.

It is possible to register a business account so all you do is manage that page.
I have reserved a page now so Patrick can jump in at any time.

Is it possible then to put up the available demos as game apps or do they need to be flash based? I don't know if the games are even considered flash based in any way... that could be a problem. At the very least he puts up plenty of pictures & videos & links and we all share like crazy.

You can put up links to Wonderland Demos on the main 4 squares of the Facebook page. They don't need to be Flash-based.

I think Robbie's asking if the Wonderland games could become "facebook games" such as FarmVille... uh, Bejewled... Facebook? And uh, those other games on Facebook.
Which I'm pretty sure they're far too advanced for, but I wouldn't know.

Not necessarily... just a demo... but pictures, movies & links would certainly do the job. Something that could be FB central for Wonderland promotion.

I'm glad I'm not alone. No Facebook or Twitter for me, and I'm still using my Motorola Krzr mobile phone eight years on. [grumpy old woman] I hate touch screens and you will not force me into having one! [/grumpy old woman]

Long live the craziness!

I have a Facebook account, but I never use it. I only made it because my family thought I should have one. [/grumpy 13 year old]

I don't have a Facebook, nor do I plan on getting one. I was considering getting a Twitter account though, but only because I would be able to reach out to various people easier. [/not really grumpy at all]

I have a Facebook which I check regularly. Touch screens aren't particularly evil.[/not grumpy or am i]

I think that Midnight Synergy should get a Blitz Forum account.
http://www.blitzbasic.com/Community/_index_.php
That way he's likely to show us code. *
He does, under the name Patrick (I think).
I've seen him post at least once, but I can't dig up the post right now.

The Facebook is the worst social networking site so he has not made an account in it

Okay, let's not get into "Facebook vs. Twitter vs. MySpace" or what-have-you arguments here. It's all a matter of perspective.
(having said that I'll admit I'm not fond of facebook either though)
