WA3 Editor suggestions

Would be nice to have the ability to add our own custom models as we did in Return to Wonderland and if possible a lot more than 4...

I know the editor is some time off but I thought I'd throw this out there.

I would love to see the ability to activate commands in a WLV file different to the one you're currently in. :)

Some time ago I PMed Patrick a list of things I'd find useful to see in WA3 Editor. Those were:

1. A CMD to change the music played in the background. Now we can have only one exact music piece played in one .wlv without any chance to change it. It would be nice if in some moments we could change the music during the gameplay.
2. A CMD to give the player specified number of coins. Would be very nice to use in some quest systems. Of course, we can activate some coins with a command now, but then we have to collect them and they also take up space, what makes much trouble in crowded areas.
3. A custom item which acts somewhat like the MoFI map, but uses custom image instead. To me it seems a hard one to make, but we can choose the object's texture now, so I guess it is possible also with the map item. Custom image would be put into the Custom Content folder or somewhere else in the Editor's directory. Each item should have its own, separate path leading to the image file used, so we would be able to use several of these objects at one time without malfunctions. It should be one piece item, so the player doesn't have to collect all the pieces. About the size of the canvas displayed on the screen I'd suggest it would be a bit smaller than 4 pieces of MoFI map put together.
4. A custom item allowing players to set the desribtion texts along with the CMD and Data values which are performed when the item is used. Could be used to make books read with CMD 21, custom keys, lamp oil storage cans and many other useful and creative things.
5. A possibility to use custom models in the Editor. I know I'm asking for very much here, but I'd love to see my custom-made cannon model replacing the existing Scouge model right in the Editor, so I could adjust the decorations in my Pirate's Cove without having to open the level in-game tens of times and decorating the level using trial and error method.
6. A chest object which acts like a wall and can be opened with clicking when the player stands next to it. After opening the chest CMD specified by the designer is performed (eg. activating a key or any other item as it was inside the chest).
7. A gate which acts like an ice wall (called Mirror Gate or something). Just a simple idea.
8. Air tile logic, which acts exactly like water, but dragonturtles and crabs (and other sinkable things if there are some added in PotZ) treat it as a wall.

This is the #1 thing I'd like to see added, yeah.
Gonna have to ditto this. There are certainly workarounds that can give similar effects (even in adventures), but they're not failsafe most of the time. :?

There's actually a new CMD in PoTZ that does just that. :P

... It can be pretty disastrous if misused.

I'll have to throw my sixpence into this one too, even though sixpences are pretty much worthless now. Dang it, capitalism!

How about the ability level goals for ANYTHING being deactivated, going beyond "capture scritters, collect gems" and getting ridiculous with things like "deactivate every bridge, use CMDs to make Stinkers disappear".

Also in a discussion topic there was mention of Flash not working with Floing? If it's possible, fix that, but otherwise don't bot... I mean YOU HAVE TO, AND THAT'S NOT BECAUSE OF AN EVIL AGENDA.

guys lets make WA3E actually take just as long as WA3

OH WAIT, I TOTALLY FORGOT TO MENTION AN ACTUALLY PRACTICAL SUGGETION: Custom logos for our adventures, mainly for hub projects... optionally, of course. I'm just so used to them...

That would be beautiful. Then it could widen the adventure's, well, story line. That way you can like : Lower Bridges in one adventure for , like , power-saving reasons. (By story line I mean trilogy's could have simpler stuff to do for levels, such as what I just said, it's a little hard to explain.)

The ability to make stinker killable.
And the ability to make magic balls move from an object to the nearest object with a certain ID or to a point or something.

*hacks into Nobody's account and posts something random in this topic*

Seriously, the only thing I really want in the PoTZE is Bounce magic made available in an unused magic slot. :|

Oh, I believe having so many new elements will easily and with pleasure make you forget about that crimson Bounce magic.

About requests: I'd like to be able to write the adventure's title in two rows instead of one. Current engine doesn't support that (tested).

You know what would be fantastic for trolls--I mean everyone?

Dragonturtles with adjustable movement speed. Also, Fireflowers with adjustable movement speed. Don't forget barrels with adjustable movement speed either.

No. Adjustable movement speed. Right now, Fireflowers are unrealistic. Fireflowers, like all plants, should be mobile. That would make Wonderland Adventures as a whole a much more realistic series.

But we'll have UFOs and Battle-Bots in the POTZ editor, and they're very similar.

I think you're referring to Zap-Bots. The ones that shout "ELIMINATE" and such? :)

Ah, yes. Those are the ones I was talking about. :)
SPOILERS FOR POTZ wrote:However, I'm pretty sure my "Battle-Bot" theory didn't come from nowhere. Didn't that Mark 001 bot say that they were Battle-Class?
