Wonderland Secret Worlds etc not compatible with Windows 8.1

Cannot see anyone mentioning this so far.
I find that very surprising !
Please advise if anyone including Patrick has a solution ?

Windows 8.1 is quite far away from the platform earlier Wonderland games are built for.
Tried settings compatibility mode to Windows XP?

The classic trilogy works for me no problem on Windows 8.1 (x64)...
No compatibility settings for xp or anything it just works.
What kind of error do you get?

Get normal sound but start up of programme does not load at all .
Works normally in Windows 8.
Tried different older HD7770 drivers , compatibility mode, Run as administrator etc ...... same problem with Secret Worlds, Return to ....., Wonderland 1.17

All now working properly .....including Wonderland ZBots new game.
Some intermittent problem involving conflict with Stardock Deskscapes 8.10
I use a lot of non standard add ons to makes Windows 8.1 function similar to Windows 7

Yes, don't use these - they conflict with applications.
If you want the feeling of Windows 7, you probably should downgrade to Windows 7.

Glad it got worked out. There should be no reason it shouldn't work (other than video card drivers that are not up to date or non-standard installations).
