Open the blast doors?

I have gone through the orange tube and made it to the pink button, turned the tube the other direction but am having a problem getting off that island. I keep falling in the water. Any hints on how to get back to the orange tube?

The trick is to not actually go inside the mini-island and step on the buttons. Once you're to the right of the little island (and there's no wall in between you and both buttons), Pop both of them. You can get there by taking the conveyor all the way around the little moat.
