Can you make your own levels for SSKQ? If so, can you use Bullies in them?

Ok, here's how to do it:

Use this: Download

It is a program called quickbms using a script I wrote that extracts the res2.dat file.

Edit: It works on all classic trilogy games and will always work to extract res2.dat

(I didn't make the program just wonderextract.bms and extract.bat)

1. place those 3 files into your krabby quest folder alongside the exe.
(don't use the normal folder incase you corrupt something, aka. copy the krabby quest folder to my documents or C:\).

2. Run the extract.bat file. You should now have all the files from res2.dat in the folder.

3. delete res1.dat and res2.dat(make sure you have a backup incase something goes wrong)

4. right click create new text document named res1.dat, repeat for res2.dat. PS: make sure you have show file extensions enabled so you don't do res1.dat.txt and res2.dat.txt by mistake.

5. mess with the game's files :D

6. to make a custom level; use the rtw deluxe editor (not platinum) it is wdledit.exe and not wdleditp.exe.

Note: Many things that work in wonderland will MAV krabby quest. For example don't place an exit because krabby quest doesn't have exits.

7. Save your level. Go into CustomLevels/yourlevel.lv5 and copy it to the krabbyquest folder overriding the level of your choice. 1.lv5 is level1 2.lv5 is level2, etc.

Reference of currently discovered elements:
- Chompers work but are actually those fish things. (I never played the game, i'm using the trial).
- Z-Bots = Bullies
- Boulders = Beachballs
- Woodbox = Woodbox
- Metalbox = Metalbox
- Coin = Krabby Patty
- Bonus = Bonus
- Scouge = Tentacle that shoots
- Spikes = Tentacles that are like spikes

Try experimenting to see what you can do :)

PS: It only seems to work by using Wood for the foreground and Sky for the background. Aswell as Music Track 1

Tried what you said with a Krabby Quest demo from Big Fish Games and all I got was Access Violations. Any ideas? :?

Did you create the fake res1 and res2? and they weren't txt files?

Edit: If your actually saying after you made a level then maybe your level has objects or tiles that are invalid for Krabby Quest?

Hi Matt,

I tried using your files as well as the ones I created. And every time I launch the 'wdledit.exe' that I copied to the "Krabby Quest" folder, I receive a Memory Access Violation. :?

Oh, I see! You have to run it in the RTW folder :P
Just copy the level to Krabby Quest after :)

This is amazing! Now we can do stuff like this:

 :D

EDIT: (ignore the video playing twice, youtube doesn't like mp4 files apparently. I'm going to try and use their editor to fix it)

The original thread for this new character is here.

With Matt's files and Popo's Toffy model, I put a British spin on Chip's "Back To The Past" level. 8)

We suspect that Qookie's a female, so I didn't put a mustachio on her.

Hi Mark
Thanks for for the picture, it's great.
But Loof is definitely too young for a mustache. I'm sure his one is faked...
