Yes, for me, the player randomly MAVs in many circumstances too.
It happens only sometimes, not all the time though. It's not that irritating, too.

Just saying "It MAV's" isn't really enough info for troubleshooting. Does it MAV/crash every time you try pressing the Play Custom Adventures button? Does it randomly happen sometimes, but other times not? Did it work before a certain point in time, and if so, what changed between then and now?
There was (and I think still is?) a bug where the Player sometimes just gives up if there are too many adventures in the directory (and by too many I basically mean "if the Player just doesn't feel like it"), for instance. I doubt that's what's kicking in here, though.

Huh, really? The only problem I've had with the new Player crashing is that sometimes refreshing adventures (F12) causes it to MAV, usually if I do it more than twice per session.

I never use F12, mostly because I forget it exists. 
Though, if I click underneath the hub selection, without a hub selection, I seem to crash.
