Question about WA Editor Levels

Does it pretty much ruins the difficulty/gameplay of the level if you change the .wa2 file to the .wa3 file?

I don't know, I've never tried it.

I'm sure Qloof probably could help you, though.

Huh? Why me?

Saying that, while I haven't experimented in-depth, renaming the file from .wa2 to .wa3 should work fine. It doesn't seem as though there's any difference between the files.

My guess is that the reason it's changed is to avoid users loading levels from the new Editor in the old Player and crashing it.

The only differences are Bounce/Floing magic and scritter colors.

@Jutomi
I already found out when i felt like playing amensia, apparently it kinda ruins the difficulty since you always start with a glow-gem + A Spy-eye
so you could say that it ruins the difficulty...

Well, that does tend to make certain things easier, yes. :D

If you compiled them into a hub, though, then you don't start off with the glowgem and spy-eye.

That's good, too, because I use the lamp in my hub. :D

Exactly why, though, I'm not sure...

I guess I just felt like they weren't used much.

Not as if they really add much to the game - in fact, to some people, they might be annoying.

To me, it kind of adds a very minor time limit to dark levels, and as such, I plan to have several power cube refueling stations throughout the game.
Oh...

but, er, yeap, back to the point, I do agree that if you plan to have sections unlocked by obtaining the tools, it may prove to be a bit less easy - or scary - than you had originally wanted.
(Though Kooky's The End 7 certainly proves quite the exception.)
