New Level -- Deja-Vu IV

I know, I know, I should be either doing things related to my university before it starts, or keep on writing my script... but I couldn't resist making this one just for fun. I was playing this level in the actual game just to wake myself up in the morning and had an idea that's particularly mean.

Several hours later...

... revisit the Deluxe W2L8 "Ammunition Storage Room", except without any actual, you know, ammunition.

I also redesigned the spike/box mechanism, adding two barrels there for the sake of extra security. That simply fixes a luck-based trick move that usually doesn't work, so it doesn't change the actual solution.

Phew, this was hard - took me several hours.

Thanks!

I really enjoyed this one, Muzo! :)
I didn't think it was mean at all.
It was very innovative & clever.8)

Thank you.

Didn't you need to use quick fingers all the way?

If not, then I've done it differently... again...

Do you mean you were constantly under threat without a single moment to rest? I can imagine how that would be annoying, but that's... not how I intended the level to be played and I don't know how you did it. :?

The level is actually fairly quiet and strategic, though certainly dangerous because of the Kaboom!s. If you can figure out what to do, it's not very difficult. There are a few moves that need quick fingers, but it's nothing an experienced Wonderlander can't handle. You don't need to always be under threat in this level.

There is a difficult trick move that may or may not simplify the overall strategy, but it's absolutely not required. Not to mention, the move itself is used in an official Wonderland level.

No, only for the wood box. Everything else required strategy.

OK, what I did with the rest is to push 4 boxes gradually to the right with 2 kabooms going round them, then down with the remaining kaboom, so it circles the island.
But it took me awhile until I found how to do it correctly.

Mark's solution is even smarter than mine was, he's a better strategist. It's quite similar to what I intended, but goes for an additional trick at the end, making the solution smarter and easier. Now I can totally claim this level is strategic. 8) (aside from the wood box rush)

Apparently, I solved it like Mark, so now the intended strategic ending remains a mystery.

OK, I made it in the intended way - after many more tries.

Amnon, how did you originally solve it?

Just like you did, Mark.

Then I'm confused to why you posted this since I didn't need quick fingers with the exception of the wood box. :?

There is the wooden box and also, I needed to run around quick while manipulating the boxes with the kabooms around.

I now realise that I didn't need to be this quick, that I could do the same in smaller chunks, but at the time I was doing it frantically.
