New Level: Static Box

View Level Select Screen :?:

Here is the final level in the Mini Trilogy!

It's a fairly free-style action level, if you're interested. ;)

And, as with the other two,
the time limit is short, but not ridiculous.

I hope you enjoy! :D

My video solution; Amnon's is much better.

A Brilliant Idea! 8)
I'm just happy to solve it. :)
My time is another story.

Thanks Jutomi! :)

(I only used one UFO)

OK, got it with 20 seconds left, I don't think one can do any better...

I wish I could show you what I did, but I don't have the facility to make a video or a web-site to store it.

Hi Amnon,

You can download Bandicam (the free program that Jutomi and I use) and then upload it to YouTube.com

Hi Mark,

Last time I tried to download Bandicam I got a virus, but on your advice I dared and tried again.

Success - although the quality is not the best. The result is a 30MB AVI file that shows how to complete this level in one minute exactly.

But I have nowhere to place that file.

It's too big to be uploaded here and I won't open a YouTube account because it now belongs to google and would be the same account (and as I don't approve of their policies, I don't want any relationship with them). I am also unwilling to be publicly identified on the web.

If you happen to have an E-mail address that can receive 30MB at once, or a web-site to which I can FTP this file, then I will be very happy to send it.

Hi Mark,

I found this site that allows uploading videos without any need to register.

I'm not sure how long the video will remain there, but here it is: https://vid.me/d1y

Perhaps also someone can advise me how to improve the quality and also how to reduce the video's size.

And perhaps someone could also copy this video to a safer place.

Anyway, enjoy!

Hi Amnon,

Thank you for posting the video. Excellent maneuvering! 8)
On BandiCam, I use the x264 codec with a 720 resolution.

You can also upload the file to "Daily Motion" http://www.dailymotion.com/us
I have several Wonderland Videos stored there.
BTW, "Daily Motion" is not related to Google.
You can register or sign in with Facebook.

Also, I found this video hosting site which does not require you to register:

Hi Jutomi
I'm usually no hero when it comes to UFO-dodging, but this level was fun to figure out. :D
Thanks for the challenge. Off to play Amnon's solution now...

Oh, wow! :o

That was basically taking my solution to a whole new floor.

'Tis really quite beautiful. Thanks, Amnon. :D

Also, good luck, Chip. ;)

Hi Mark,

I discovered why the top status line did not appear, so that's fixed.

I don't have an x264 codec option - did you purchase the full version for that? The quality is still shaky, the output huge and the game is a bit slowed.

Even if it's not google, I don't want to give away my personal information to any internet corporation. I don't want my name to be passed to others or appear in web-searches, so for the time-being I'll stick to anonymous uploads.

Best Regards,
Amnon.

Hi Amnon,

No, I have the free version of BandiCam. You can get the x264 codec.
It has the best quality and the smallest size of any other video format.
There's a download link with instructions under the following heading:

  • 1. x264 codec settings for video recording

Here's the page:

Hi Mark,

I downloaded the codec and it worked, and now the quality is better, but the file-size is still 34MB for just one minute - is this reasonable?

Best Regards,
Amnon.

Hi Amnon,

That's very reasonable for a higher resolution. :D
If you disable the sound you can save a bit more.
I use MPEG Audio and just disable the game music.

Thank you Mark,

I already disabled the sound and the file-size was reduced to 32.8MB, not much difference.

But do I really need high-resolution? perhaps it would be nice if I could reduce it.

Best Regards,
Amnon.

Hi Amnon,

If your Internet has a slow upload speed.
Also, I found this free video hosting site that does not require you to register:

http://videobam.com/

There's an option to view Full Screen.
Here is a sample of how it looks:

Thanks Mark,

No, I do not have a problem with the upload speed, but if the size was smaller, then perhaps, just perhaps I could upload clips directly to this forum!

And thanks for that site!

Best Regards,
Amnon.

Hi Amnon,

You can choose the Preset for "YouTube (480p)" or "YouTube (360p)" to reduce the resolution.

Hi Mark,

Selecting YouTube 360 reduced the file-size to 25.3MB, but there were lots of blackouts (the screen just going black when re-playing).

Hi Amnon,

I'm not certain what could be causing all those black-outs. Is your FPS less than 30?
Be sure to End Task any unnecessary processes in the 'Windows Task Manager' before recording.
You may want to try all the different presets to determine which works best with your video card.
Also, check if you have the correct settings for the x264 codec program (see link on above post).
