Why would you only make the Editor open-source?

no.
I'm asking if it will be open source.
and ms would not mind, because it's only the editor

Okay, let me rephrase that.
What's the point in making just the Editor application open-sourced? We wouldn't be able to add new gameplay elements with just the editor's code.

if the editor was open source then I could add more music and new objects in the editor.
and ms would not mind of the editor being open source

You need to have the
game be open-source to add content, making the editor be open-source is less important than having the game be.
Also, MS would never release the source code of any of his games.

yeah, but the editor he might make it open source.

Again, what's the point? Other than fixing bugs, we can't do anything with just the Editor's code.

ControlObjects Code.
Code: Select all
Function ControlObjects()
Select ObjectType(j)
case 1
ControlPlayer(l)
case 290
ControlThwart(l)
End select
End Function

MS will never give away the source code of his games.

Okay, that's enough. First off, no, Patrick's almost certainly not going to make the Editor open-source. It's his code, I don't think he'd want to open-source it just like that.
Second off, again - Having the Editor's source code wouldn't allow us to add new gameplay objects. That's not how it works. True, we can make reasonably make "custom" objects, but we're not adding anything new there - What we're doing is taking advantage of the file format for in-Editor objects to use them in ways that the game natively supports, but doesn't use by default.

I know you'd love to add your own content to this game - and, you can to some extent.
But I'm pretty sure it's done, as is, and unless mod support's made(which I doubt would happen)
getting something like a source code is pretty unlikely - for most things.
But not impossible - that's all up to Patrick, not us.

True.
Patrick if you want to make the editor3D open source please say yes
Patrick if you don't want to make the editor3D open source please say no

A) What exactly brings you to this conclusion?
B) Even if he did, what is the problem?
C) Why jump to something so off-topic?

Okay, please stop posting in this thread. If Patrick decides to open-source the Editor for whatever reason, he'll tell us about it (considering the Editor's already released, though, I don't think he's going to open-source it). Bumping the thread every fifteen minutes isn't going to increase the chances of that happening.

just saying if the Wonderland Adventures Editor V0.03 was open source we could add new custom objects and add custom magic and fix bugs and add new custom stuff to the editor and add new adjustments and It would be a lot of fun.
and It is the final WA Editor. so MS might make it open source.
and add new stuff and share it on pcpuzzle with our custom game with adventures and hubs
What do you think Patrick?

No.
The game or editor is not open source, nor will it be.
Caton - please stop posting (or PMing) me repeated requests. If you want to ask a question once, that's fine - but don't keep repeating yourself. If you don't get an answer right away, there's no need to post again. You're on a probationary period here... don't push it.
