New Level - 7 Tries Badluck

A bit late - sorry about that.

... so, I was thinking about some of the mirror tricks I used in the third world of Combat Island,
which I also used in this monstrosity, and I thought to myself "Say, would it be possible to do that multiple times?"

My first execution didn't pan out so well, which almost led to my second level scrapping.
(yes I made another one some time ago and didn't care for it.)
But then I realized something - that it was possible, just not with one mirror(unless you've got a teleporter or something).

So, I hope you enjoy this level... I certainly enjoyed making it, but recording the solution was certainly a pain.

You'll see what I mean in this video solution. ;)

After extreme efforts for many hours I managed to exit without the bonus coins.. and definitely not in the intended way.

I am still perplexed, so see you in a week, or a month, or a year - eventually I will find the secret but for now I cannot give it any more time.

Oh? I'd really love to see your solution then, Amnon. :o

No need to wait the whole week though, as I've arrived, early, with a copy of the video solution. ;)

I hope you enjoy. :D

My idiotic solution?

I just push another reflector left to the one that is already there, to the spot just below where Loof begins, then bang it with the last reflector over the ice so it bounces back (obviously the character that pushes it must retreat in time), over and over again. With very accurate timing and some luck, boxes will be hit: do it enough times and the road will clear.

Needless to say, there's no glory on this path and no gold coin either.

I will not look at your solution, Jutomi - if this level takes me another year to solve then so be it.

Oh... yeah that's definitely not the solution I had at mind...

Still, that sounds awesome - the fact that you can actually do that.

Welp, good luck, m'dear. ;)

Getting the bonus coins is fairly easy - the actual "trick" for the boxes is hard timing work. Then again, Amnon already did something that's probably much MORE painful timing-wise, so once he figures it out, he should be able to execute it.

It uses a certain mirror quirk that I'd consider to be a little glitch (according to his comment on "Counterlock", Amnon doesn't) and this version here is actually pretty tricky to figure out. I had it in my head, but couldn't quite pull it off - had to watch the video to see that I was right. A very elegant design that takes an old trick to new heights.

And now I imagined how annoying this trick would become with four...

Hooray! I finally figured out how to play RTW and Legacy adventures now! HOORAY!

So, I thought I would sum this adventure up in one word: AWESOME! 8) :D

Well done!

It took me a while (because I'm not good at these puzzles), but I solved it! :D

Could this be part of my Master Plan- oops! You've heard too much! Stop Listening!

(Yay more foreshadowing!)

Well I gave up, I looked at the video - and I've actually seen and tried that quick move before: I tried a few times, but I was not fast enough to divert the rays so I assumed that this wasn't the way...

Once I found that this WAS the way, a few more tries were needed to complete the level.

Well done, Amnon! :D

Sorry to read about that...
I know how it is when you think you have a solution,
but think it's impossible because you think it's actually impossible. :P

... oh my, do I know.

Anyhow, glad you were able to do it!

I'm still fascinated by your solution. ;)

At least I tried every other possibility - if there was any...

I was looking at this most beautiful move for awhile, but thought there was not enough time...
