This is a very basic level which shows you how to use boxes. The next few stages in this mini-series will show more advanced tricks. But I thought it was best to start simple.
Have fun!

Phew! That was actually a doozy, Cloudrac3r! :shocked:
Of course... that could partially be because I'm out of practice.
Nonetheless, I had to restart a couple of times. Also, I fortunately
caught onto that mirror on the red button without having to restart.
(That's so mean

)
One thing I wanted to mention, simply because it
is a thing but
not a big thing, is a wooden box that can be pushed left/right to skip
the entire purple button section. I'll show you a picture of it,
and that if it were edited to be one block higher, it'd not be skip-able.
Thank you for the level, Cloudrac3r! I'll be looking at some of your other levels.

Nice, thanks for the fun!
Yes, I also noticed this small issue, that means that there is not even a need to cover the pink button.

I am not sure what that means. Is that good?

It's to stop people from walking off with the mirror and using it for their own nefarious purposes. At first I considered using the "X" floor tile, but then the fireball just impacts and dies instead of bouncing. The button trick was the first way that I thought of doing it. Do you have any other ideas I could have used?

Oh no! How did I miss that? That's no good! I won't change it, but if I did, I would not shift it up one tile like you suggested because the point of that section to to teach you that boxes don't go through coins and other objects. I suppose I should put bridge tiles on either side. (The "3" kind.)
By the way, did you give in to temptation and try to walk through the boxes only route yourself? It's... not so pleasant. It might come in handy in other levels, if people want a system for moving boxes, but not players, between different sections.

I did go that way, but not because it was a temptation - I'm simply not in the habit of reading signs

The boxes only route? Do you mean the section with the scouges, because if so, yes.
If you mean did I solve it without using boulders... uh, nope.
Also, another thing you could do is just place
another box on top of the box that I circled. That way you both have to push that box to the side
and have to push the other box from the other direction.
... just spitballing. Do what you want, either way I've really enjoyed it,
and... well, lets just say it inspired me to make some more RTW levels.

Oh, and a "doozy" is, I believe, a baffling puzzle - which is usually a good thing in the RTW community.
(at least I hope that's what it means

)

Baffling? This wasn't meant to be! The floor even changes colour to show you where to push the things, and where the fireballs go!
As for the boxes only route, it's the patch of ice that loops above the level fairly early on, with a conveyor leading into it. It's just above the part you keep complaining about

Anyway, you push a wooden box over it, which slides and bounces on a trampoline to destroy the steel box in front of the scouge.
But if you follow the box as a shortcut, you die. Which I thought was pretty funny. Feel free to check the editor, the short version is: wooden boxes bounce off plasma boxes, but players push the plasma boxes. Which makes for some nice traps.
I think I'll upload it to the mechanism maker topic.
