CONTEST: 1 Hour Challenge Voting (Nov/04/-Dec/12 2021)

ATTENTION: Voting phase has drawn to a close! Thank you all for voting!

Hello everyone! It's finally the moment we've all been waiting for!

*Overly dramatic firework display presented to an audience of maybe 12*

The Submission Phase for the 1 Hour Challenge has finally come to a close! Now it's time for YOU to vote and decide on who will be the winner!

We have a lot of submissions this time (thankfully; I'd be deeply saddened by something less for a contest like this) with a grand total of 10 contestants! That's more than any contest since POTZ came out! (By a lot... the second-most was 7 and third-most 6!)

The contents of everyone's submissions should all be in the main zip file below. Note: Wonderman109 has 5 adventures, but they're all considered one entry since they were all made in sub-40 minutes. :P

How will voting work? Well, the first time I let you chose one entry. The second time I let you chose three (where first/second/third favorite got 3/2/1 points each). I was thinking about a rank-choice voting system, but honestly it feels hard to justify in this case, so instead I'm going to do something a little bit different:

Vote for whatever candidates you'd like to see win most! Any amount is fine, from absolutely all of them to absolutely none of them! (Same difference in the end, but it's the in-between that mostly matters here.) If you liked one above all else, vote for that one; if you can't decide between three of them, vote all three! If you liked them all but really hated two stinky entries, vote for every one except those two! The choice is ultimately yours this time round. :P

(To cast your vote(s), just post in this thread!)

Final notes before we begin:
1) Final page will contain voting scores of all contestants and also explain their submittee name (some are different)
2) All files are under "1HourContest#Something" so they should take up exactly the entire top page (unless there're other files with names that alpha-numerically sort earlier)
3) FinnThor's entry and Zedbot Masterclass's entry both have custom content, which should be attached as well.
4) Attached is also a very short thank-you letter in commemoration of both the contest and Wonderland's 20th birthday. (Also to make the whole front page fully dedicated to 1HourChallenge) This will not be rated and is purely there for aesthetic and appreciatory reasons.
5) Have fun and enjoy! Contact me if you have any questions. :)

>>> ATTENTION!!!<<<(hopefully eye catching enough) Nasko and some of Wonderman109's entries require Version 0.96 (Legacy version) and are NOT to be played in version 3.00 (POTZ version)

I vote for all of us! This was a fun competition, and it's bringing back my editing itch.

Perhaps it's time to continue working on MOFI:R.I :D

I finished the levels yesterday but was too lazy to write up a review (still feeling lazy.) so I'll just vote for the levels I enjoyed.

Turtle Hurdle by Garriry: Nice little puzzle with a neat trick at the lurker, thanks. :)
Jutomi's Family by Mathhieu: this one was quite good, thanks for the fun.
Magician's Lament by MynameisKooky: I've said it before and I'll say it again. whenever I thought that we explored everything in this game, you come up with something new. Great job. :D
Seperation Anxiety by Zedbot Masterclass: This is probably my favorite entry but I think you ran out of time at the last puzzle (white button was just there purposeless), still it's nice to see such unique features being implemented, thanks for this!

Of course thanks for the remaining contestants for the fun. :P

I noticed this during final testing and didn't have a lot of time left, but I figured skipping it wouldn't break the puzzle at all so I just kept it.
So I guess it just kinda sits there awkwardly.

Here's the walkthrough video for it incase anyone wants it, although if you haven't tried the level yet, do that first - don't spoil yourself!

This really is a very tough decision to make, as I thoroughly enjoyed every last one of the entries.

However, I think I can safely give these few slightly more epic voting points:

MNIK, whose adventure dumbfounded me (and good puzzling)
HumanGamer, whose adventure was freaking hilarious (and good puzzling)
Zedbot Masterclass, whose adventure is yet another stroke of genius,
Garirry, whose turtle shenanigans were just really nice (good puzzling),
and Goorab whose adventure was very entertaining.

Very nice work everyone, and I still absolutely enjoyed all of the other entries (even Nasko's xD), but I wanted to give them all slightly extra points.

I've also linked the livestream I hosted for my playing through this contest in the original post. Hope you all enjoy (and don't pass out at my not-so-epic voice reveal :p)

Thanks for playing Jutomi.

For the rest of you guys, I find it amusing how me and Wonderman didn't get any votes.

These epicorders must really be damn mad :Kappa:

Nawh xD Both of you got one... almost got a second from me hehe

Actually, Finn and I also didn't get voted on (except for the free everyone-wins vote hehe). :conspiracythink:

Added another point for Matt from Joey_San on discord. We presently have a 4-way tie for both first and last place. xD

Huh! And to think I was fully expecting a 4-way tie for both first and last place.
(Still close though!)

Voting will end in about four days. :P

Alrighty! Voting has come to a close!

And the final few who've tied for first are:

Garirry

Cooldudepoke

Zedbot Masterclass

Congratulations! Well deserved :D

So now the question is: What's the prize? Uh. Not sure xD Last contest I actually did finally come up with a prize (over a year later; and never told anyone about it); their adventure got featured as the thumbnail for my "contests" playlist. Unfortunately they're all in one playlist so I can't do the same thing again... much less with a tie.

So uh... I'll come up with something. Just give me another year xD

Thank you all for playing, voting, creating and participating! It's been wonderful.
(And thanks to Kamerson for also streaming it!)

Disclaimer: I was wrong and actually it's only the 19th birthday of Wonderland, not 20th. (At least for TOW, it could be Wonderland itself is about 20 years now but idk.)

Just pretend the adventure came out in 2022. ;p
