The Wonderland Board

Hello! I am having trouble with this level. I can get the metal boxes removed and "kill" the kabooms, but what triggers the white gate to stay open? Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I'm not sure what sequence causes it to stay open. Thanks for your help! I am a new poster, but an old Wonderland addict.

The key is that if you step off a round button, or a timer button turns off when the corresponding gate is already closed, the gate will then open and stay open, until one of the buttons is operated again.

Anything's better than thinking it is just random. I have "lived, eatine and breathed" Wonderland for a couple years now, and know better than to think anything about the game is random!
