I saw in Janetgalle's tutorial about Downloading custom levels that she had a folder called Custom Voices.

Can you make custom voices? I've never heard of anyone doing this.

Anyone know anything about it?

I don't remember how to do it and I've never seen a post with CustomVoices attached. I know the tutorial can be found by finding all the Super Secret Clues in RTWD.

Thanks Mette - that must be Super Secret 2 or B or something - I know it's one that involves an ASCII Table. And I've tried to decode the clue but it doesn't make any sense, so I must be doing it wrong. Will try again sometime when I'm not so BUSY!

It involves making wav. files for the four characters and recording your voice. I think it's possible to change the introductions they each say and what they say when they're killed.

The wav. files then need to be put in a CustomVoices folder. Can't remember what the wav. files need to be named though.

I'm not sure if they can be passed around like model files once they're done though, or if they are just for personal use.

If I remember right, the code that you used the ASCII table to decode turned out to be a URL to a website. The website was to Midnight Synergy, but I don't remember the extension. I think the website told you how to do the wav files. Why don't you try PMing Patrick and ask him about it.

Thanks Pauline and Gen. I've had a pm from JG telling me that you can't use these custom voices in custom levels, only in the game itself. So I don't think I'll bother. No point in recording something daft if only I can hear it!
