Down Loading Levels by Date.

This is just an idea that I've had.

I don't know how others down load the game levels and keep up with all the new ones, but I was wondering if it would be a help to people if the Created Date could be included with the Author's name, the same way it is in the column for Last Post.

I try very hard to download all the new levels every day, but they get all mixed in with the level comments that bring an older level to the top, and it's almost impossible to recognize them all by name. There are so-o-o-o many being posted now on a daily basis. I down load lots of them twice ! ! ! ! ! !

Maybe there's an easier way of doing things, that I haven't figured out yet.

If this is a good idea, then maybe Patrick or Mette could think about it.

I'm just sort of thinking/wishing out loud - through my fingers. Maybe it wouldn't be possible - what do you think ?

The way I used to do it Ann, was this.

When you first get onto the board, click the 'view posts since last visit' option. This brings up just the ones you haven't seen.

Then click the little orange icon instead of the post title, and you will be taken straight to the first post you have yet read. If this is a new level it will be the first post with the level in it. If you have already downloaded the level it will take you to the first reply you haven't read, and you won't see the level.

Therefore, if you can see the level(ie. it takes you to the beginning of the topic thread), you haven't already downloaded it. :D

Do it several times a day and you should have no trouble keeping up with the new levels.

Thanks Pauline,

That works beautifully. It's amazing, isn't it, how many different ways we must all go about doing the same thing - especially people like me who have never used a forum board before. It's a matter of reading a lot, and trial and error, and helpful hints from all our friends

Huh ? ? ?

Does that mean she's sort of gabby, as in chatty - or she's got a . . .ahem . . .a slight gastric problem - or she's "getting on in years", something like long in the tooth, and therefore knows everything ? ? ? ? ? ? ?

She's an excellent fount of knowledge, and knows how to write so we can all understand
but now you're going to have to do some explaining - what the 'eck do you mean
