Revisited Levels - Time For A Contest???

On 1/18/04, a level competition was initiated by Patrick, and on 2/11/04, winners of the "Small World" competition were announced. I think it's high time for another, so . . . .
I have attached the original entries. I think it should be fun to play these, as most of you have never seen them. This will give you some idea of what the levels were like in the "early days"! See how many you can solve, some of them are still real "stinkers".
Is it time yet???

Yes another contest of some sort is due.
If you're up for a level contest, perhaps you should be the one to start it off.
No copying from the ones in the zip file though.

100% original.

Oooohhh! When I read this post I was hoping it would be a set of new competition levels, instead of ones that I have already completed!!!!
I think you'll find that most people have already played these levels. In case you didn't know, the lovely Mette has a wonderful website where you can download all the custom levels ever made - these included. You can find it in the General Wonderland Discussion Forum
Now - if you would like to start off a new compeition - please keep us updated of your progress. There are some wonderful "new" levels makers on board now

Hi Pat,
Thanks for reposting these levels

Allthough I have them on my web site, I'm not sure I ever played any of them

It will be funny to see what has been done before in a competition
And speaking of competition....I'm ready for one

Phew ... that's a relief - thought I'd be even further behind with catching up but I've already seen these. No doubt recent members who haven't will be kept busy.
Thanks anyway ... what kind of competition did you have in mind ?

Thank you ladies for your comments.
With close to 1300 members, I highly doubt that "most" have already played these levels, and yes, I am well aware that they are on the lovely Mette's wonderful website.
It is only my intent to highlight them as a gentle prodding for Patrick to initiate another contest. I'd like to see the same contest, same rules.
To those of you who have not played them, please enjoy . . .

We can't wait for Sir Patrick of Wonderland **tugs forelock** to initiate a contest, we have to make our own entertainment here, you know.
Of course, you don't get 'proper' prizes if it's a home made contest, but it's just as much fun, and if you start it off you can make your own rules.

I just re-visted the levels to refresh my memory. There were some brilliant levels in there. I remember struggling a lot with nearly all of them!
Thank you so much Pat for posting this - you are such a thoughtful person

Ditto! Nice to go back and be reminded of the brilliance of Diversionary Tactic again.
LNS (wherever you are, mate):
it's still one of the best!!!

I had a nostaligic look through them last night too. Most of them were full of cannons, coilys, kabooms, electric floors and kamikaze boulders. Just the sort of thing I
don't like in a level.
There was a lot of that about in the 'early days'. Thankfully, we've moved on since then and there a now a lot more cerebral levels about, and all the kids levels too. Some very good level makers too.
My favourite from the contest was Patrick's example level.
