New level - Saved by the box
Posted: Fri Apr 09, 2004 8:10 pm
by BIGZIPZ
When I wake up in the morning
And the alarm lets out a warning
I don't think I'll ever make it on time
By the time I got my books I give myself a look
I'm at the corner just in time to see the bus slide by
It's alright cause I'm saved by the bell
If the teacher pops a test I know I'm a mess
And my dog ate all my homework last night
Riding low in my chair she won't know that I'm there
If I can hand it in tomorrow it'll be alright
It's alright cause I'm saved by the bell
It's alright cause I'm saved by the bell.
Anyways enough of early 90's kids show lyrics, I can't decide if this level is really hard, or really easy!

Hi BIGZIPZ,
Really enjoyed this - logic puzzles are my preferred type of level
It took me a few trial runs before I sussed out what to do - and then I couldn't do it
Don't want to give too much away obviously, but there was a definite level funny with a floating box in mid-air and a previous fake-wall block now solid
Managed to do it after about 3 more attempts when these funnies did not occur
Thanks,
Malcdelsol

I got some funnies too, sometimes when I tested, if i skated from the ice into a fake wall, I bounced back and didnt go through.

I was just about to give up and go crying to my six year old boy, when I got the "trick"
I was really questioning my ability to ever play this game again. I was saying to myself- "Man, these guys are so much better at this than I am".
It was very frustrating...
So.... if any of you are experiencing those same feelings as you try to figure out what in the world Mark has done here, Don't Give Up!!
Remember the name of the level, apply some Wonderland Physics and you'll end up laughing at yourself for being such an idjit!
Yes! It is both easy and hard

Mark, this is one of the very best you've done. It also just goes to prove that the smaller levels are sometimes the best.
I had a really great time puzzling this one.
Absolutely brilliant!

I wouldn't say it was an easy level. It's a good logic puzzle well combined with some of the Wonderland tricks you all have learned.
I did get the bonus coins, but not the first time I completed it. I couldn't for the life of me find the switch, then it suddenly dawned on me. And then I said, to use your expression, "Doh!"
As I said before; great level; very high quality puzzle.

I CAN'T DO IT!!
I can NEVER figure out BIGZIPZ levels, but THIS one I thought I could - and I like this one. I must have a mental block; JUST when I think I've got it, I DON'T! You guys are toooooooooooooooooo smart for me I guess. No wonder my levels are so easy to figure out!!
This actually sort of reminds me of Leandemon's "Stinky Crusoe" where you could get a little bit farther each time. But I'M STUCK on this one!! Waahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Booooo Hooooooooooooo!!!

Well, I don't know; WHERE do I begin? I get everything opened up on Loof's part - it's Stinky's part I'm having problems with. Most LIKELY, I'm going about this ALL WRONG! - Right? HHHEEELLLLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPP!!!! (This is me falling into a black hole Yaaaaa Hoooooooooooooooo Hoooooooooooooooooooooo Hooooooooooooooo!

Without giving away everything before BIGZIPZ decides it's time, I can tell you that the most important...
Pseudo Spoilers ahead
...tile is the yellow switch. Get to that switch!
The most important object, other than the "Saved by the Box" box, is the boulder nearest the exit, use it correctly and remember how you were able to get it there, and you will be able to finish.
Don't place too much emphasis on saving wooden boxes.
Peeudo-Spoilers over
There is really nothing in this level that puts either guy in danger of being killed if you follow the right plan. It can actually be done relatively stress free.
It is a superb logic puzzle!!!
I just finished it with 5:05 left. Need more COFFEE!!!!

Oh my Lord! I don't even think I want to start this one. Ive just downloaded it and haven't looked at it yet, but I don't like what you're all saying. I have trouble with Bigzips levels when they're supposed to be easy!! But I've got to be brave, so I'll go and have a quick peek. Keep a look out for my SOS

My hamster loved "Saved By The Box".

Never noticed that DG!
Maybe BZ and me are in cahoots.
I'm not intentionally trying to reach majic1's dizzy heights, I just like to give feedback to all the level makers.
It's very hard trying to keep up with all of you!

HM, thought I had this one figured out, then something strange seemed to occur. At first, once Loof walked over the square turquoise button, Stinky's gate was open without something placed on his round turqouise button (I THINK that was the case), but he pushed a metal box into the water and then the previously fake wall could no longer be entered. So I went to do it over, and then Loof's button had no effect so I couldn't move the box off Stinky's button. Am I doing things in the wrong order?
Loved the part where both guys can be saved by the box, BTW!

Fancy you knowing the theme song of the t.v show I just watched this morning!

I was actually just warming up the computer and tossing in a load of laundry...yeah yeah yeah, I'm lyin'!

I still watch that stupid show!
How do you know about Zack and his cronies from Saved By The Bell? I didn't realize it was even popular enough to jump the Big Pond!
Just downloaded, so I haven't had time to play yet, I'm sure you'll hear me scream in aggravation before too long.
Logic puzzles and Jersey don't mix well!

Didn't realize that all those shows were popular enough to be broadcast in England!
I watched the College Years too, but by that time I was pretty bored with the show, so I only turn it on to keep me company when I'm getting ready for work (its broadcast on one of the re-run channels). I used to like Sabrina too, but they changed the air time and I can't find when they are airing the newer episodes. I LOVED Salim...he reminded me of our old Saimese with the attitude.
I like to watch the older shows from the BBC, like Are You Being Served, and Keeping Up Appearances...I just adore Hyacinth, she makes me laugh! I keep telling my mother (who's from Coventry and other parts of the Midlands, BTW) that she reminds me a bit of Hy, with the attitude that everything
must be perfect! She doesn't find that amusing...
I really got hooked on that show Red Dwarf, but I think they only made a few seasons and then went off the air. That was my fav, I used to call people "smegheads", and they'd give me the strangest looks.
