HI All,
This is my very first level, very easy. Let me know if I need to improve anything. Most of all have fun.

Well done cat, you did good; a nice start. You should be proud of yourself.
I've seen other level makers start this simple and within a couple of weeks were knocking out brilliantly complicated stuff. I'm sure you'll be just as good.
You've now posted one level more than me, and I've been here for ages.

Hi there Cat
Way to go

Isn't it fun to work in the editor and then see
your level
come to life when you play the game?
Keep it up.

Nah! I'm nowhere near smart enough.

Hey, you called me Bear instead of Bearsland. Thanks.

I wish everyone would; Bearsland is just too much of a mouthful.

Not smart enough, Bear? I'm really not buying that, with the way you can figure out every level posted!

Hi SharonM,
I didn't think that my first level could be any better than anyone else first level. I get to working on my next level soon, I hope that it will be better than the first level. I figure that it would be harder to come up with something different the next time around. Now I just got to figure out how to leave the messages on those little white squares. I wil figure that part out as I learn more of how to make the level interesting.

Thanks Bearsland, I apprecaite the vote of confidence, I was afraid that it wasn't that good. Glad you enjoyed the level, very exciting to make the level and everyone enjoy it. Makes me want to make another level right away.
I hope I will be as good as all the talented Wonderlanders.

Hi Cat,
I went to the tutorial and printed it out so that it would be easier for to learn.

I think the link for it is in the top post on this board. Not sure though, maybe someone else could say for sure. As for the messages, when you select it and put it on the board, you should go to a screen that allows you to type in your message. Make sure that you select a different message number for any later entries or you'll overprint your original message and only be able to access one during the game. I did that a couple of times at first.

Hope this helps.

Congratulations Cat,
You did really well on your first level.
Don't worry about making mistakes, we have all done that!
I remember having to ask about things that were already there in the tutorial! I didn't see it.
Look forward to playing your next one.
Maureen.

I was talking about the squares in the levels that messages can be written on. That is what I intend to try on my next level. That is a lot of printing on the tutorial. How do al of you get the new levels to say new level and then the name of the level.

Are you asking about the posts or the level names?
When I post a level I type "New Level", then a dash, then the name of my level in the Subject box. To name a level, click the words at the top of the side bar in the editor. It will take you to a screen so that you can rename the level. Does that answer your question? Sorry, I misunderstood before.

Level names and also the litle squares in the levels like the recipe for sugar pie was written on the squares. Thanks that does help I was wandering how that was done. I guess I should print out the tutorial. Then if I need to I can ask questions. I should of made the questions more direct and yes that answering my question,
"Thanks"

Hi Cat, enjoyed your first level! It was fun, and not all that easy, what with those Coilies bouncing all over the place, not to mention the trees blocking the view.
As for the signs, just place them like you would any tile, and a box will pop up for you to type your message in -- the box will tell you what to do next.

Hi Dianna, I am glad you enjoyed my first level. Yes those coilies will get you everytime. And getting the coin from the wall in front of the cannon was tricky. Seeing around those trees was hard,I caught myself plenty of times trying to bend down so I could see them.

I had already started a second level and figured out how to do the signs with help some of the Wonderlanders. Thanks for the help. I am anxious to get started on my next level.

Great level, Cat!

Although I do have a kink in my neck from those trees!
Everyone's different, and their personalities show through their levels, that what makes this game so great. I think of it as a "pot luck" game, and all the different creators are "buffet" contributors. You get to try a little bit of everything!
Every level you create, whether simple or complicated, generates the same thing. FUN! And that's what Wonderland is all about. Test your skills, test your patience (I lose mine just about everytime

) and test your creativity. Play for fun or play for the challenge. Just as long as you play!
And, if you're stuck, or just confused, ASK! We all like to jump in with helpful suggestions, so don't be shy. The 1st or 2nd level I created was a real pain in the butt. I kept getting the dreaded
Memory Access Violation
Someone suggested I upload it so they could take a look, and within a few minutes, the problem was solved. Everyone helped, so I found myself in a friendly bunch of good Samaritians, and now they can't get rid of me!

Thanks Jersey, I know my neck hurt too trying to see those coins. I had a level done last night. But deleted it because I had blank walls with coins in them but couldn't get to the coins. Back to the drawing board, I figure it out soon. I will be sure to ask all of you kind Wonderlanders. Thanks for the warm Welcome, I couldn't ask for a better family to be in.

Everyone has made me feel really "Welcomed"!

Cat,
I have been away so I am just getting to all the levels I missed!
Congrats on your first level!
Now you have your feet wet........the first one you post is kind of scary isn't it?
But, as you found, everyone here is kind and helpful.
Could you call in a landscaper when you make the next one?

Yes the first one that I post was scary, I was afraid that it wouldn't be good enough. Everyone I came across has been very friendly and helpful.
I think we might can arrange a landscaper.
