New Level (advanced) - Coin Quest 46

The Siege of Helm Castle begins!

This is a very big level, but there is loads of time and it's not as bad as it looks. You should end up with a massive score. Use the Shift and Arrow Keys to see what action is going on in other parts of the level. It may be useful to use the AltX zoom to view it all first.

I'm using the same texture and model file as Coin Quest 45. Download from here if you haven't got it:

Absolutely stunning level. I liked the way up to the exit. :D
Unfortunately I'm missing a bonus coin, so fortunately I have to play this jewel again. Thanks :D

Wow what an epic battle! The troops had to fight the war several times before the good guys won! Of course in the end our heroes prevailed and headed off to celebrate! Thanks, Liz!

This was a battle of epic proportions! when I first opened it, I just ssat and said Holy Crap!!!!!!!! LIZ!

Then, it was off to fight. I had one guy use one route to the exit and the other two used the other. Don'tknow if it was planned that way or not, but t was nice to have options. :D :D :D

This was one heck of a battle! You are so amazing at how you develop these levels, and they are so fitting to the storyline.

Once I got my mind around the beginning, I was quite surprised by the yellow gate. Or I should say, what was behind the yellow gate. Completely unprepared. This took a good amount of time this morning, but I am happy to report the battle was won!

Thanks!

Lizzie - help please with this magnificent level. I can do the beginning - I can get the Kabooms shot, I can get rid of the first UFO and the z-bots. Then I can get over to the yellow buttons, but don't have a clue what to do after that. I can't see a way to get the greyboxes/barrels destroyed either?

Hey-elp please

This is just a quick hint about the second half. Once you've opened the green gates, a kaboom will walk over the yellow buttons which allows the yellow boulder generator to start working. This builds a bridge to the west wall of the castle and blows up the barrels and the steel boxes (except one which is needed to cover a button). The kaboom is then destroyed because the pink button has activated the cannon in the top left corner.

Now you have to shut the green gates so you have a safe path. Use one of the kegs from the generator to blow up the green boulder and shut the gates.

Teamwork is needed to get kegs across the yellow bridge and down the conveyors to blow up the other kabooms and the 2nd UFO. Two more kegs are needed for the light and dark blue buttons which open the exit.

There are a few chance elements in this level (as there are in any battle I guess! ).

I will give a full walkthrough sometime tomorrow. The penalty for making a big level is having to do a big walkthrough

SUCCESS!!!!!!! What an epic level Lizzie - magnificant :D :D :D

I had no idea about the Kabooms/yellow buttons in the top right section - probably because I had Loof stepping on/off the blue timer - the Kabooms were getting killed before the yellow sphere gen had done it's thing  Then I realised I had to use the other sphere to roll over timer!

Brilliant level - you are a genius - I thank you 8)

Loirae - you are so clever! Of course you found the side door which I forgot to keep locked!

So for anyone who wants an easier way out, find the side entrance! 8)

It seems that most problems are solved now. If anyone wants a complete walkthrough, please ask. :D

Lizzie this took me almost 2 hours to finish. Those chance elements you referred to kept popping up!

What a piece of work! I kept thinking give it up, move on, but I couldn't do that. I had to finish it and I did!

Thanks(?)

Tricky level! Those Orcs were a Stinker  . :stinkysad: :stinkysad: The sad part was I always got hit by those Orcs at the green gate. That made me kind of frustrated :? :? :? . Then I thought a little, I did not think it would work      .
