jerky and slow custom levels

Why is it in a few of the custom levels the charcters are slow and jerky moving? I'm replaying some I skipped over and I'm having trouble with fan no1's, Boggy Pete's Farm. There's a few other's I had trouble with like that and I skipped them also. I'd really like to play them. Is it the textures or graphics that came with them? What can I do so they can be run smoother.

Sometimes if there's too many models in a level, it runs jerky and slow.
This happens with Wonderland01's busy city maze, for example
I don't think there's any way to fix it other than to not play those few levels, after all, there aren't too many

If you know how to open a level in the editor just do so and remove any extra elements... the jerky problems are usually caused by
moving objects like too many fish, lots of flames, too many rotating coins....etc. What works on the creators computer doesn't always work on the players computer.
If you don't know how to open a level in the editor, let us know and someone will be quick to help you learn how to do it.

yup, that worked, I took out all the grass and I was able to play the level, thank you for the suggestion, I figured it was to many things in the level, I opened it up first to see what there was before I removed anything. It was a neat little level and I would have hated to have deleted it. Thank you everyone.....

Yes, this happens with older/slower video cards:
newer video-cards handle the moving graphics themselves, but if the card is not capable of it, then the CPU has to do it, and it can get to be just too much.
I assume you already reduced the "Detail level" to the minimum and another thing you could do is to disable the sound.

actually my pc isn't that old. I've been thinking about a new graphics board for it since I play a lot of games, but I only have trouble with a few of the levels so it's really no biggie, and I have to play with sound, I want to hear everything that's going on. I did try lowering the detail level but that didn't help
