Revisiting Old Haunts (Revised)

14 months, and 3 names ago, this level first saw the light of day.
It's been updated to Platinum and the solution has been revised.
My levels haven't gone into reruns, I'm just going on hiatus.

A trophy goes to the first person who can figure out this level's original title. :D

EDIT: I just revised it again after I discovered everyone was solving it the hard way.
The Chomper is necessary for the solution, and there's no need to build any bridges.

If your level has Stinky & Loof on the flagstones
(as pictured below) then you have the correct version.

:D :D :D Yayyyyyyy, I won, 8)

I just completed this gem, I'm not sure if I ever finished the first one,
This brings back fond memories of some of your early levels, Your misdirection is most brilliant ,
The Boomers and the little one are most useful, the solution for getting the bridge built is genius. Thanks for showing us some of that old Brentnor magic. :D :D :D

I have not downloaded most of your original levels, yet, so I didn't know the name. Thanks for the link, I will certainly get it now.

I loved this one. Very clever use of items, and building the bridge!

Thanks for this!

I just did the original level, and I think it is a tad bit more difficult than the updated version. I can certainly imagine how difficult this would have been, when I was a newbie to Wonderland!

It took a lot of coordination to successfully do this one, but I very much enjoyed this times 2!

Thanks!!

You are correct. This new version is easier than the original level! :D
If you notice the people who solved and posted on the more difficult original level,
some like Lillian, Kaz67, and Liz Mayhew are still members of this forum.
So I am confused, why only you and Kiki have solved this easier one. :?

EDIT: Sorry Lucky-Luc, only three solved it.

Sorry Mark - I didn't get to play any levels all weekend until Tuesday, so I have been playing catch up since then. Starting at A, got stuck on Amnon's and had to move on :? I finally got to your's this morning - but it was the boys' sports day today (WINNERS!!!) and then we went for ice cream to celebrate! So I finally got some time to play this evening!

I loved this level the first time you posted it. I remember your first level very well. Everyone thought how splendid it was for a first level, even the guys that were great at solving hard levels were entrigued by this one 8)

Thanks for re-posting it - I really enjoyed it again! Loved the bridge building bit and it looked great in it's Lush environment! 8)

You da bomba-romba :D

i remember this level very well.

my memory's not that bad, i always seem to remember the levels i couldn't even get close to   i've had another look at the old level and it seems more impossible than this one seems impossible :?

on this one it seems the only logical thing is to destroy both boxes somehow (and i've only come up with that idea from reading this and the old thread  ), if that's correct then all i need is the somehow

guess i'll just have to keep checking my inbox

Sent you a PM, and for anyone else having problems - here's a hint:

Only destroy the box beside the yellow gate.
There is one other visible object that needs to be Kaboomed... and it's not a box.

I remember 'Remote Control" but as I recall I needed a certain critter's help in that one, I'm going to replay it and check.

I had some timing issues with this latest update but got them sorted out and built a lovely bridge for the boys.

Thank-you sir,

If you are not using the Chomper in your solution, then you have an early version of this level.
I just revised it again after I discovered everyone was solving it the hard way. The Chomper is necessary for the solution. And you won't find any plasma cube in this version.

I see the change you made  but I still didn't use the chomper.

See the screenshot...

PM on the way! Bob

Hi Bob, I removed the plasma cube on the new update, so that solution won't work anymore.

Oh, alright...I'll try it your way.

Hey Bob,
If you solved it once, you definetly earned it.
It just seemed that everyone was solving it the hard way.
In my solution, you don't have to build any bridges.

I posted a new picture above, so if Stinky & Loof are standing
on the flagstones then you have the correct version.

i've managed to solve the latest version too, although before that i had great fun building the biggest bridge ever down the left hand side.

i got through the original remote control too after all these months!

thanks for the PM, it made all the difference

Hey, Mark! I didn't download yourrevised versions, only because I did use the chomper. I only made the original comment about building a bridge to throw people off. I think because I hadn't done your original level, it didn't seem possible to build a bridge.

So, it seemed the only way to logically solve this, was using the critters!

I always thought that any misdirection in a level should be up to the level's creator.

Bob, that is not what I meant at all.

It was meant to be a cryptic comment, because Mark put the broken bridge there. I didn't even know you could build a bridge. So, I built a bridge, by not building a bridge, and taking the long way around. I did not want to give something away, that Mark did not intend to give away.

Sorry for the confusion.
