I named this level after a level in Aargon Deluxe, but for no particular reason
It uses my new "Chrome" texture.
Have fun, it's a bit tricky though

Tricky is right Theo! I can't figure out how to get the coins blocked by the wooden boxes. I feel like I must be missing something obvious but I don't know what! Help please!

Remember the "connect the dots" trick?
Well...
You can use a chomper instead of a barrel to perform the same task

Well I'll Be!! It does work! Even knowing that trick, it took a lot of tries to work it out and get both guys to their exits! Thanks for the help Theo!

When I first saw this level, I surmised you were using the "connect the dots" trick.

Though using the chomper was sheer genious!
Not sure if I used the box as you intended, but I did get my gold star!

Thank you for a fun and challenging puzzle!

Congratulations, TheoX, on your very ingenious level.
I have completed it, no hints taken.
Some people here mentioned wooden boxes, but I didn't use any. If you mean those boxes at the top, I think they are a red herring.

very very tricky, i didn't use a box either, but i did manage to complete the level after learning about connect the dots technology!
i wouldn't have had a prayer without it

Yep this is ages old. I never did find out what the "connect the dots" glitch is so I have no idea how to do this. I see that Kiki used a level with this glitch and so did Mark (he started it all ya know) but I have no idea what that glitch is
Does anyone remember this stuff? May I get some assistance please?

I found an explanation by Theo here:

I tried the level but not the trick yet. Interesting.

The trick works.

It took me quite a while and several restarts but finally I finished this level.
Thanks Theo for a nice level,

a nice texture,

a clever trick

and the explanation!
Thanks Robyn

for bringing such old level back on top.

If you need more explanation; just let me know.

Ok I knew that trick, I just didn't know what it was called. I still can't figure out how it pertains to this level though. Or I should say I haven't figured out where the possible positions are yet. Thanks a ton Marinus/Romeo I'll keep workin' on it though.
Edit: Ok finally got this one. Man oh man I could not get the timing right for the exit! Sheesh silly me.
If yer still around Theo this was really great puzzlin' dude! Thanks

Nice level, but what's "connect the dots"? Am I supposed to use a chomper (other than the very bottom one)? For what? I just killed the other red one.

Amnon:

Instead of a barrel, a chomper can used.
Did you find an alternative way? BTW, It was 2 years a go that I played this level, but maybe I'll play it again.

Well, I did not roll a boulder into a teleporter - I saw no reason to do so.
All I did with the boulder is to kill the chomper behind the wall (with the wooden box)

"Connect the Dots" was the first level to use a barrel as a stopper for a boulder or sphere.
This only works when the barrel is adjacent to a TP and the boulder stops at the TP (the Dot).
Here's the level:

Thanks Mark, I know the trick, but cannot see how it applies to this particular level.
Anyway, it seems that I've missed a few of your early levels. The ones I seem to have missing (or perhaps I played them on a differernt computer) are 7, 9-10, 17, 21, 26, 29, and MARK97.

Hi Amnon,
I was just answering your question regarding "Connect the Dots".
I don't believe Theo employed that particular trick in this level.
Thank you Liz, for posting my missing levels.

Mark wrote:I don't believe Theo employed that particular trick in this level.
I do believe he did, so I'll try if I can replay the level.
And BTW, Mark it's good to see your here again.
Are we talking about the same level?
- I only see
one yellow chomper, and a chomper-generator.
- I see no walls. (only invisible walls in the editor)
- I don't see another way to get the coins 4L and 4R of the lower yellow TP, then using the boulder to destroy the boxes above them.
Also I don't quite understand why you guys seemingly don't remember this level, while you commented on it 4 years ago.
However, I didn't figure it all out yet, BBL.
Edit: removed the picture.

I'm only going by memory. It's been a long time since I played this level. I'm sure you are correct.

If my health improves this coming winter (when the pollens go into hibernation along with my sinus and asthma woes) I will Return to Wonderland again and take a long look at the blank editor.

Thank you so much, Liz. I just played those 8 games and you can actually see the progression how Mark's style develops into the magic it has become.
#7 and #9 are very easy. #10 gets a bit more difficult, but still quite easy, #17 is really cool, #21 is cute, #26 is nice, #29 is excellent and #97 is already quite sophisticated and displays a true mastery of buttons.
About the level, I made a terrible mistake and actually played THEOB137 - dog tricks while thinking I was doing THEOB124 - Primalvault.
So actually, I have not played this level yet - it will be my next.
Mark - it's great to see you here!

Since I only believed that instead of being sure, I could have been mistaken, but according to my (and also your) previous post, that trick has been used. Here is how I played it:
1. Stinky gets coin 2R of lower yellow TP and stands above boulder. Chomper below lower yellow TP; Loof back where he was. Stinky pushes boulder D on TP, and R.
2. Chomper above lower blue TP; boulder U on TP. Chomper left of lower red TP; boulder L on TP, and D. Loof left of lower blue TP; chomper left of lower red TP.
3. Stinky pushes boulder L to destroy boxes. When boulder is at the right side going left, Loof runs to breaktile near right exit. (chomper killed, new chompers stand on buttons)
4. Stinky collects the rest of the (bonus)coins, and exits left; then Loof exits.
At first, I did not use the woodbox on top, but it can be used to trap the chomper right-below the lower blue TP, so Loof can walk quietly to the breaktile near the exit, and then Stinky pushes the boulder, to destroy boxes and chomper.
My question "Are we talking about the same level?" was actually more to Amnon then to Mark, because Amnon said some things which I didn't recognize in this level.
So, Amnon, if it's the same level, can you please tell how you played it?
Mark, I wish you all the best with your health, and I'm looking forward to any of your new creations.

Amnon, I was just about to post this, and then I saw your new post, so you can forget about my question. Also, according to your other post, you had already played it 4 years ago.
BTW, since you talked about playing levels on a different computer, it may be an idea, if you install RTW on a new computer, to copy all the Customthings folders including the players folder to your new computer. Another way, even easier is, instead of install the game again, to copy the entire RTW folder from old computer to new one. That works fine.

Well, given all the discussion on "connecting the dots", there was not much left to complete this level (Primalvault).
About running RTW on another computer - this happens when I'm overseas, a level may come out just then and I would only download it on the overseas computer, then never download it at home again and sometimes even forget that I ever did it (that's the one advantage of Alzheimer - you can laugh from the same joke many times).

Thanks for telling that.

Actually I didn't know anything about you, except that you must have a very high IQ, and don't talk much.
