That and for RTW can there be custom music? And if that will come in the next upgrade can the upgrade be called "RAINBOW EDITION" and what formats will it support? I hope wma mp3 midi mid xm s3m mod it and all other common music files (not hohohgooo as in you REALLY want to open it up in notepad and change the filetype by putting it in quotes like "moo1.fooi") HAHA! FOOI! :lol: :lol: :lol:

All the Wonderland music seems to be available in the program directory. It is in Impulse Tracker module format; renaming the files to have a .it extension may encourage music players to read it.

The music files are as follows:
res3.dat - "puzzley" music
res4.dat - "happy" music
res5.dat - "breezy" music
res6.dat - "dark" music
res7.dat - "nostalgic" music
res8.dat - "scary" music (only in RTW and WSW)

You should not use the music for your own websites and programs and stuff, and there may be problems putting it on portable MP3 player devices or CDs, too. The music is copyrighted, so unless you are given permission by Midnight Synergy, do not use it for your own things.
What might be legal, and fun, would be replacing the music files with your own to achieve custom music. I do not know whether other formats will work, or indeed whether any change will work, but it may be interesting to investigate.

I just want to listen to it :wink: however the problem with the custom moosic is it only works on your computer and it replaces other moosic in the game.

Yes. This music is copyrighted and protected. Listening to it on a Mod-Tracker or other player on your computer is fine. Sharing it, putting it on websites, etc, is not.

If you have any music in MOD-Tracker format (*.it, *.mod, *.sm3, etc), that would work for sure - haven't tried MP3 or OGG myself. As John points out, that would only work on your own computer and would replace the game's original music.

I don't feel the strong need to include custom music as an option in future updates. For one, you can simply turn off the music in-game and play a CD or MP3 while playing. The other issue is that I wouldn't want this site to be used for posting and sharing custom music, both because of the size of the files, and because most of this music would be copyrighted (and hence illegal to post), unless you happen to be the musician yourself.

Cheers!

I wish it was okay to get the voices of the stinkers and replace some of the samples with them. It could be the "FUNNY REMIX VERSION"! *sigh* Too bad about those copyrights.

1. Dowload ModPlug Player http://www.modplug.com/?page=playerinfo
2. Go to http://www.download.com
3.Search, Download and Install Notepad++
4. Right click on res4
5. Select "Open With Notepad++"
6 Go to File>Save As...
7. Put quotes around res4 so it will look like this: "res4" DON'T SAVE YET
8 Put in the extention .it so it will look like: "res4.it"
9. Save, Exit, PLAY It should sound like the cloud city music (I have WSW and RTW)[/url]

Stipe was confused. He wrote:Hey, how to make it in mp3 format? :?
Simple. Follow John's instructions, then open the IT file in ModPlug (of course).
== Click "Save WAV".
== Save it as WAV.
== Open the WAV In Media Player (Windows Media Player!).
== Open the File menu.
== Choose "Save Media As...".
== The file name is res4.wav; replace the "wav" with "mp3".
== Click Save.
= Et voila! :D
Hope I helped,
If Then :)

But it have "IT" coding still. :wink: To convert to mp3 get a download of "modplug tracker" from www.modplug.com and "edit" the music. You should see in the file menu: "Save as MP3".

What is the point of saying "d'tchou" instead of "do you"? It takes longer and looks stupid. :lol:

There is in the tracker. When you get the tracker you can right click on your wonderland music (if you converted it already) and press "EDIT" then it will open up the tracker that you can go FILE>SAVE AS MP3.
