Bit of a bump,
I was playing my favourite server: KeiCraft this morning...
I teleported down to the Bandit Camp I was making, When my friend, Roboluca, told me to come quickly! (And said a few naughty words too... He must have been in a hurry.)
I came down into the mineshaft Luca had found and he was hitting something! (And getting hit too!)
I came round the corner to find a white eyed steve! It didn't show his player name so I thought he was a monster. Then he somehow ACTUALLY STOLE Luca's sword! We both left in a hurry and climbed back up the ladder.

Can anyone confirm what that thing was?

Umm...Wait! Isn't that the mob Notch removed?
How did I see him if he's removed?
Wait, now I look, Herobrine has been removed over 8 times!
What IS going on? Is Notch lying?

Mojang loves messing with us by making us think Herobrine existed, which he doesn't.

The server you played on probably uses a plugin that causes Herobrine to appear.

What about on single player? There have been many sightings of him there!
Although in all the sightings, Herobrine looks slightly different, so I can tell its a texture pack or a mod.

Herobrine is fake without mods or pluggins or stuff, I belive. So no SSP without you putting him there.

Herobrine doesn't exist in Singleplayer without mods.

You could get the Herobrine mod, which is 13+...

but Herobrine is just a crappypasta.

Creepypastas aren't inherently bad, mind you. Herobrine wasn't particularly good, but compared to some of the ones I've seen it wasn't bad either.

Haunted Majora is fantastic, for instance, and I've seen a few Minecraft ones as well that have been okay, but Herobrine's definitely not the worst Minecraft creepypasta about.

UPDATE/CHANGE/FIX LIST:

+ Chat history and much better chat editing
+ A few new decoration blocks
+ “Back” and “Quit” buttons to OutOfMemoryScreen
+ Made cats more realistic (read: probably annoying). I hope it’s enough to cancel out any joy you may receive from the previous feature!
+ Added a “minimal” debug menu for testing with. Shift+F3 to hide the graphs.

I got the update. They said fixed the crash when converting. It wasn't fixed when I loaded a flatgrass map.

If it doesn't work, try updating Java. Your version is 1.6.0_13. I think there is a new java. Since you are using a Windows XP, all you have to do is

1. Click Start
2. Click Control Panel
3. Click Java
4. Go to the Update Tab (on the top)
5. Click Update Now.

Then it should run the update.
