Imagine yourself in an giant crater, behind a town, formed by a meteor made up of a certain rainbow magic. The crater is mysterious, and each one is formed as an entrance to an underground tunnel, which is the last part of each level. Each level will be based on the rainbow magic the meteor is made of.

In the level, you come past many puzzles, then, SHIVER TRIES TO FREEZE YOU, then realizes that you are not a ice thwart, and shows you the way to the star.

You totally messed up. The installer didn't install anything except an uninstall program!

I think it would be easier if you just zip up all the files you have and don't bother with the installer.

I did, nothing. I had tools to monitor exactly all the file changes made by your installer. All it did is to install the uninstaller in c:\program files\MOMII. Just zip up the files!

Hmm, well, jdl's MOPI was "only" around 30 MB when zipped up.

I tried and find that zipping up the files for the full version of MOFI, minus the adventures and any player profiles, it takes 48.8 MB. So if you're getting almos twice that  , then there must be a lot of extra files you don't actually need:

1) Try removing all folders inside "GameData" except "Custom Content". By "removing", I mean move the folders out to some other temporary location outside of the main MOFI folder, then zip up the main MOFI folder, and then move the folders back.

2) If you're still way above 50 MB or so, you can definitely cut down like 10+MB by excluding the Data\Music folder from your zip file. But then you'll need people to copy that folder over from WA Editor themselves (or from MOFI if you're actually using the new music from MOFI).

Fine by me. Not the tactic I'll go by if you actually want to encourage other people to bother downloading it, but okay.

(For comparison, the installer for the full version of MOFI is only 41.3 MB. Even assuming that zip files don't compress as efficiently, your 86+MB clearly indicates a lot of duplicate/unnecessary files, unless MOMII is many times bigger than MOFI.)

Okay, while I was figuring out how to load custom textures, I copied my custom textures OUTSIDE OF EVERY SUB-FOLDER IN "GAME DATA"! My question is: How the heck is my "Game Data" folder bigger than THE ENTIRE MOMII TOGETHER!!!!????
EDIT: Nvm, My unzipped MOMII BETA is abut 268+ MB unzipped, meaning that my computer DOES compress efficiently    because 1. the zipped version takes up less space than ONE sub-folder. and 2. the size is so massively reduced.

Ok, I looked through your files. It turns out the 86 MB is not as ridiculous as it seems.

One main difference is that MOFI does not actually have some of the OGGs (music) from WA1/WA Editor, plus I noticed you added two new OGGs. That already accounts for about 8.5 MB (OGGs are already compressed so their size in a zip file is pretty much their original size).

After removing the "Player Profile" folder inside GameData, removing extra copies of level textures (except the ones inside GameData\Custom Content\Textures and Data\LevelTextures), removing the original MP3 you had before conversion, and removing extraneous programs (you don't need Editor.exe, Player.exe, MasterDatEditor.exe, and xvi32.exe, some of which are found in multiple places in your files), I was eventually able to get it down to about 63.5 MB as a zip file.

And the compression from zipping is apparently not as high as whatever compression is used by MOFI's installer, since the MOFI installer program is 41 MB, while zipping up those same files in Windows got me 49.8 MB.

So maybe a better program from zipping will help, but it looks like the minimum for MOMII will still likely be around 50-60 MBs. Oh well.

Finally get around to playing it. It's definitely a bit buggy, but not bad for a work in progress. I did find the ice thwarts/trolls shooting a bit way too fast for my taste in general, though not impossible.

Maybe if inspiration strikes one day, I could try contributing a level or two.

The OGGs are there because one was removed, and another became unused due to replacing the file with the one from the editor.
