Well, I used to be an omnivorous ingestophile.

Edit: Just saw the newest post above mine; that looks amazing!

It is. Tim Burton is an amazing director, Johnny Depp is a great actor, Willy Wonka is a fascinating character and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" is a great movie. It's very underrated by the critics because they're still nostalgic about the 1971 film with Gene Wilder, but seeing both movies and not being a 5-year old anymore... the 1971 movie really doesn't hold up and has a lot of problems. Tim Burton's movie, on the other hand, is fantastic.

Just to make sure everyone's on the same page, the issue here isn't insulting a specific fandom - Hell, as part of the fandom (though I don't know if I'd actually call myself a brony anymore, I just sort of hang around and look at art really), there have been numerous times where I've just sort of stood back and said, "Wow, we really are kinda dumb sometimes, aren't we". It's not like it's just bronies either, all fandoms have that to an extent.

The issue is being respectful of other peoples' opinions and interests, and whether it was intended as a joke or not, that statement was still pretty inflammatory.
