To install these textures, place the images inside the "Custom" folder that's located in the same directory as the player executable. If this folder doesn't exist, create it!
Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on! I thought we installed all our new textures into the "Objecttextures" folder!MyNameIsKooky wrote:To install these textures, place the images inside the "Custom" folder that's located in the same directory as the player executable. If this folder doesn't exist, create it!
You can only put jpegs in the objecttextures folder. We like .bmps. Therefore we are still using custom.yot yot5 wrote:Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on! During WA1E, pretty much all custom object textures were put into that "Custom" folder. Aside from one additional folder, there's really no additional clutter.jdl wrote:Having multiple object texture folders like this kinda clutters everything up, especially now that the feature is officially supported.
Wow really?MyNameIsKooky wrote:I tried using the objecttextures folder myself, but the game often froze or just didn't work at all.
Cool, I thought I was the only one. In my case it's less out of "it's not working" (admittedly I haven't even tried the new one yet) and more out of "I do not have the patience to go back through >100 .wlv files and change every single texture-search from Custom/ to the new one".MyNameIsKooky wrote:Frankly, I prefer the "Custom" folder method.
