I'm homeschooled.

I got an A on my Science Semester 2 Assessment.

And an A+ on the Science Semester 1 Assessment.

I can describe what I think about school in two words: "it sucks"

I could seriously go on for hours about how awful it was for me.

Needless to say, I dropped out for all of the first semester. Then started homeschooling. That's about when I stopped hating everything.

I agree 100%. It's boring and stressful.

Though I'm one of the most active kids in my grade.

When I was at school, I never got the "Paddle to the butt then time-out" all year. I love school.

I pity you guys. School ROCKS for me. All of the teachers are supportive and encouraging (save one gym teacher who I don't have), and all of the kids are nice and tolerant.

For Math class it was determined that I am beyond the normal Algebra 1 curriculum, and so I started taking classes hosted by my state's University. My textbook is named 'Algebra for College Students,' which buys me some points at school, although it's actually meant for college students who don't know algebra. (i.e. ridiculously accelerated) I get to sit out in the Commons area and do my work while everyone else is stuck in a classroom. When I'm done with my work for the week, I use my Math hour as a study hall (Study Hall was dropped by the school for this year.) My math course is in Chapter 14 of 15, which deals with arithmetic and geometric sequences.

The one downside: Almost every week on Thursday, and the occasional Tuesday, I have to go down to the University from 4 'till 6 and take a class on the material. It takes up a lot of my time, which is why you don't often see me posting on here until evening on Thursdays.

I honestly can't really visualize school stinking all that much. I feel sorry for you guys. :(

Because you're much luckier than we are. :?

Practically every kid at my school is a moron, and I have to deal with them every day, 8 hours a day.

I like school as well becasue I don't see how you can make friends if your homeschooled or don't go to school. School is stressful and boring but I like it becasue I have friends there. :)

[rant]

I hate school.

I get basically no respect from anyone, I get blamed for everything, and the one friend I have doesn't care 3:

[/rant]

I'm being homeschooled for 8th grade, though. Maybe that'll be better.

Obtw. There's a science fair for me at the end of the year. If you have a good idea of what I should do, PM me it because I have none 3:

I envy you so much. The teachers at my school always favored the cruel students (read: all of them) above everyone else (read: me and two of my friends). They didn't listen either.
Emerald141 wrote:and all of the kids are nice and tolerant.
You are so lucky. I was borderline suicidal (I am DEAD serious here, no pun intended) because all the students in my classes hated me for no reason at all. Really. It was god-awful. :(
ben09 wrote:I don't see how you can make friends if your homeschooled or don't go to school.
That situation works in reverse as well. If you don't go to school or are home-schooled, you can't get enemies who will try to ruin your life for no specific reason.

Thankfully, the other consequence isn't present here - the office where the homeschooling program runs from doubles as a special school on Tuesday and Friday, and the teachers make sure that no one is a jerk towards anyone else.

Opposite of my school.

School is terrible for me. All of the teachers were insulting me behind my back, I can't say the kids were bad, they were alright.

When in any lesson I was terrible (the teachers agreed and insulted me all the time (yes I spied on them) behind my back), I had/have the intelligence of a person that just began in school apparently. I was taught stuff that they didn't explain and expected me to understand things that they didn't teach me (they expected me to know what division was and I hadn't even heard of the word). When I came back from school I did homework and worrying about the next day. Before I knew it it was the next day.

This is pretty much the same for me... but my school seems a little worse than yours... Just a little though!

Except for my Computer Apps teacher she's like the one pf the meanest people on earth. Or maybe not... I dunno compared to some of your teachers she sounds kinda nice...

Back at my school in the past some of the teachers were wack.

In one class one person really wanted to use the bathroom and asked the teacher that he needs to go. But the teacher said no. Later the guy peed his pants and he got in trouble. Unfair! That teacher is stupid.

There's this other teacher that gave me homework and it was also stupid. Why? I finished all my work and there was extra time about 20 minutes before class was over. At the end my teacher randomly game me work for homework. WOW! :x Why didn't she give it to me BEFORE?

Some of these teachers are really twisted sometimes
