Back to School

Post by Technos72 » Sat Sep 04, 2010 12:12 am

What's going on for school? Some of you may have already started it. I don't know why some people start school at the end of August.

Me I'm going to grade 10 and first semester I'm taking English, science, and automechanics. Next semester it's Math, History, civics and career studies. I'm playing RTW and some of Keeks' levels to get my mind moving before school starts, which is after Labour Day.

8th grade here is meh bleh, just like Kooky.

And guess what? Some days school ends at 15:45. 15:45. The parents say that if that's the case, the teachers should lower the amount of homework, because if they don't then that's outrageous. Teachers just never seem to get the concept of a life outside school.

Most of my teachers are stupid in all other ways, too.
  • Last year we had a math test, and the teacher told us a week before then that there will be absolutely no geometry in the test, and that we have to prepare for algebra only. One day before the test, he told us "I told you there will be geometry in the test! Why didn't you prepare?!"
  • The rules clearly state that EVERYONE must come with a sleeved shirt, both boys and girls, so the _HEAD TEACHER_ comes with a sleeveless shirt EVERY SINGLE DAY.
The only good thing about my school is that I'm good friends with my whole class. Besides that, let's just say I do not enjoy it.

I'd like to homeschool, but my parents won't let me due to the lack of social interaction if I would do so.

My mom wouldn't want that either, but it's the social interaction concept of proper schooling that kills it for me. I just can't do it unless it's someone I already know or if I'm not under pressure to do work.

My friend had a situation like the first one.The teacher said his class could bring there DS's on the last day of school.Thats what they did, and the teacher said they wern't allowed to.Then evreyone got their DS taken away and never got it back. You are right about them not knowing about life outside school, and they have no sence of what things cost.A DS costs around 100 dolors (or 150 for DSi)and they can't bet jobs at their age.And then the data.It may take years to get to back the point in the game that they were origenly at(It took me 2 months to get 1 of the missions done in SADX,and that was gamecube. They can't hold that much stuff to beguin with).I think my other friend lost his gameboy in the same way,and I think he had a rare game(I say a original copy of SM RPG:LOTSS for 150 dolors.Old games are not cheap!)in it at the time.ImageImageImage
No ofence to any teachers reading this, not all of you are like that.

One time at elementary I was playing around with my lunchbox and a teacher in the hallway said to stop. I couldn't resist doing it so I still played with the box again. Then the teacher grabbed my arm and talked to me with teeth clinched. TEACHER THAT IS UNCOOL AND...

Some guy in my friends class was being doing something wrong(i don't know what)and the teacher said if she had to say his name one more time(you don't have to.Think logicly, teacher. We arent a bunch of idiots.) evreyone would have to stay in for resess.About a hour later he raised his hand to anser a question. The teacher said"Yes,(whatever his name is here)?"After he ansered the teacher said that they all had to stay in for resess(since the teacher said his name to let him anser).
WHAT?!?

Oh yeah back in grade 6 we had all of our school work accomplished and no homework assigned through all the classes that day. At the end of the day when we were about to go home they just assign some random homework for us even though it wasn't mentioned throughout the whole day. It was this random paper that you have to draw something on it.

Easy to do. But randomly getting us homework after doing everything the teacher want us to do that didn't consist of homework, do you think this is HOMEWORK FAIL?

And there was the time when about 70% of the class did something wrong. The teacher BANNED FUN FOR THE CLASS. If I were to relive that scene I'll break the rule of NO FUN. If the teacher calls my parents because I'm breaking this rule, and if they know there's no fun allowed, they will say that's a stupid rule. When you watch Toy Story full movie in reverse and when Sid picks up the clock and "un-winds" it, there's one point after that when he says what this rule is: LAME-O. Go check it out if you wanna.

No. Teachers are human beings as well, unbelievably - they can forget just as easily as anyone else.

On the DS-loss topic, that's lawsuit-worthy because of how much money was lost, just one thing: The teacher can say what they think should be acceptable, but if the principal says otherwise, then that's what happens.

Also Super Mario RPG isn't on Gameboy or any portable. It's only on the N64.

Thank you for pointing that out. :)

For the SM:RPG thing, I just put that as a eg. on how expensive old games can be.I should of made that more clear.
However, it is actuly only for SNES and Wii(Virtural Console), not N64.Look at best maches under at this page.

I have fun doing my schoolwork as well now that I've dropped out. It's enjoyable because I don't have to move at an incredibly slow pace because of how stupid the teachers think we are sometimes. I can work at my own pace.

... Which means I'm starting Grade 9 and likely doing Grade 10/11 math.
