A real life story, eh?
Well, prepare for a shock. You better sit down for this...
Yes, picture 19a is Oliver Hardy's house (just wonderful).
I have no idea who lives in 19b, if anyone actually lives there. I plucked it from a site about the old route 66.
Now, before anyone gets angry (or whatever), read on, please.
It's like this: I don't have a picture of my house, couldn't find any neighbourhood photos on the internet and I don't have photo equipment. Heck, I don't even have a mobile phone (yuk!).
So I had no intention of entering the competition at all (I'm happy I did, though), also because I'm very busy and an extremely important man!
But Lillie wanted me to take part anyway and so we decided to play it as a joke. The idea was that the story and the style of writing would give me away. It's partly based on truth, though: I do have an IKEA key in an old shoebox.
The outer parts of Amsterdam are chockfull of 5-story concrete apartment blocks, and I live on the top floor of one of them in a 3-room flat. It's not luxurious, but it's my place and I love it. The whole area around here will be torn down around 2008-2009 and it's as old as I am. (I'm still not sure if that says anything about me).
To compensate for all this tomfoolery, and because during my research I learned about all your naughty bits and private parts,
I thought it's time I told you a bit more about myself, for whoever wants to know.
Then I hit on a nice idea and started to work on it. It could even be an idea for a whole new competition, or at least the most wonderful online 'family' gathering ever.
...whatever you want to share about yourself...
I promise: this ís easy. Trust me....
