Congratulations Mette & Bjarne, really good score you got there. :D

I only guessed 4 screenshots right and none of the music tracks, though I did know number 3 was English Country Garden. My excuse is that during the time these were popular games I was busy having kids and didn't play much. :lol:

YEAH! We won! :D 8) :D 8) 8) :D :D :D

I must admit that my very nerdy hubby knew 7 screenshots and 2 music pieces the instant he saw/heard them :shock: :P :lol:

And then we had a lot of fun doing research. Excellent challenge Patrick :D .

Now I really can't wait for Wonderland Adventures to come out....... :lol:

Wonderland Adventures & comments...

Post by mindstream » Mon Nov 13, 2006 12:53 am

Good evening everyone, I've been gone a long time, yet, I enjoy
coming back to peak at the WonderLand Adventures update on
the Midnight Post. Some things I wonder are:

Shall there be an included level Editor :?:
Shall these be named as .LV7's :?:
Will we use this very same {PcPuzzle} forum to share Levels :?: :)

{Till next time,,, I'll be back in about a week, From Andy}

I've got an idea. If someone posts a "WonderLand Adventures" Level just a few days after it came out, Not everyone will have the game yet, so The person could put in the subject
New WA Level - On another universe" or something.

Hi Andy,

Things are always in motion, so I can only tell you what the "plan" is currently.

But, for now, the plan is certainly to have a Level Editor. I think it won't be part of the original release though, but rather follow shortly after (1-2 months). The editor would require lots more work to be "fixed up" for general consumption (right now it's a bit of a hodge-podge), and my first priority is the get the main game released.

Level names have not been finalized, but they certainly won't be .lv7 - remember that this new game is quite different than the classic trilogy, and levels/gameplays/editor techniques will have little to no resemblence to what you're used to.

In fact, currently a level is made up of several files:
* .wlv files: the actual level data - there can be several in case you want to make a multi-level adventure,
* a master .dat file: this includes global options, such as the gameplay goal - not every adventure will have the same goal (collect all coins), but can be specificed to be something different (rescue all stinkers, collect certain items, etc).
* possible .dia files for dialog with in-game characters
* possible custom data, like graphics, etc

My plan is to write a little "zip" routine that puts these automatically into one single file for upload/download, and have the game itself extract the necessary information automatically. That would be the game's custom level file format for users to share. What it is called, I do not know yet.

As for this discussion board, the current plan is to use the same board for classic Wonderland and Wonderland Adventures, which will require a little re-organizing of current sections.

Again, none of this is set in stone, but those are my current thoughts.

Is it too late for a new puzzle idea?

How about boxes that disappears when moved next to each other? Like sticky cubes - only opposite ;) . There could be different colored boxes so only boxes of the same color would do the disappering act.

@VicelTGPSE:
I don't think you can disable PMs. Look at the top of the forum screen (to the left of "Log out". (A tip: This kind of question belongs in "General Discussion".)

Is Wonderland Adventures out now?

How about now?

HOW LONG SHALL YOU FORCE ME TO WAIT?!? :evil:

Shall there be ginormous chompers?

How about complete house screens? (This was suggested for RTWD.)
