Idea for organizing levels in my All_Levels pack

Post by mette » Sun Jan 14, 2007 11:19 am

Hi all,

John925 have suggested that I put the creators folders in All_Levels.zip (on my website) in folders corresponding to the first letter of their name, so it would look something like the screenshot below.

The purpose being to make the list shorter and easier to use. Personally I think it's a very good idea, but before actually doing it, I would like to hear some opions.

What do you think? Good idea or bad idea?

Mette

Not a good idea, not a bad idea, but a
supercalifragilistic idea!

EDIT: Mette, your number of posts is exactly the year when Herge created Tintin and Tintin's "birthday" was four days ago!

ANY way you prefer is fine with me.....
as long as you keep doing it!

Where would I be without your wonderful web site?
Lost! Lost I say!
Lost in thousands of unorganized levels, lost in....well you get the idea.
Thanks mette.

Looks and sounds like a fine idea. I'm just wondering if you'd still keep the Kids Levels seperated, or organize the kids Levels the same way. It makes it much easier for my daughter to play.
Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

I organize them like that after I finish playing what I can. Then I have a replay folder for ones I'm going back thru and then another done folder for creater's folders I have completely finished all levels of.

Anyway that's easiest for you Mette. I'm just so grateful that you take the time each month to do this for us. Thank you, thank you

I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean Laura, but if I make the mentioned change it would be like this:
New_Kids.zip: the new kids levels in a big mess [no change]
All_Kids.zip: all kids levels sorted in alphabetiacal folders by filename(0-A, B-C, D-E etc.) [no change]
New_Levels.zip: the new levels (including the kids levels) sorted by creator [no change]
All_Levels.zip: all levels (including kids levels) sorted by creator and letter (as in the screenshot) [this is the new bit]

Does this answer your question? Is it what you have in mind?
